Quote:Donald Trump is doing the right thing by ending the madness of climate change and LGBT rights
CLIMATE change, you’re fired! Unisex dunnies, you’re fired! Islamic terrorists, you’re dead! That’s the message from the inauguration of Donald Trump, to which I say – about bloody time.
Already, the White House has removed from its website all mention of climate change and global warming, and of LGBT rights.
And in his spine-tingling speech, Trump promised that Islamic terrorism will be “eradicated completely from the face of the Earth”. That’s more like it.
Three victories in the “culture wars” that will alter politics everywhere.
As I wrote recently, “2017 will be the year the climate con ends”. We may well see the entire ideological hoax evaporate before our eyes.
That is not to say the Earth’s climate isn’t changing. It may well be, or it might not be.
It might be changing for reasons that have nothing to do with C02, or we might be cooking ourselves in carbon.
But the reality is that there is nothing we can do about it in any meaningful way.
As Bjorn Blomberg recently pointed out in relation to the Paris Agreement that Malcolm Turnbull has signed us up to and that Trump has rejected, “we will spend at least one hundred trillion dollars in order to reduce the temperature of the planet by a grand total of three-tenths of one degree”.
That’s fourteen zeros on the cheque for a big fat zero on the thermometer. Not exactly the bargain of the century.
The entire climate/renewables ideology is based on the premises that a) a doomsday scenario of melting icebergs, rising sea levels, drought, floods and cyclones is just around the corner, b) that any and all warming of the planet is by definition disastrous and c) that renewables will provide affordable and reliable energy.
The only reason this dogma has persisted is because politicians are too nervous to question it, even though many (brave) scientists do.
With America now pulling the plug on climate change, sanity must and will return. Yes, of course, we want cleaner air and cleaner water, and that’s where our efforts should be directed.
But now that the White House has given climate change the flick, politicians who insist on clinging to the con are even more guilty of putting quasi-religious fervour in front of economic prosperity. Good luck with that.
Next comes another great cultural furphy of our times, LGBT rights. Again, most sane people have nothing but goodwill for gay and lesbian people, or people of whatever sexuality, and discrimination on any grounds is obviously unacceptable.
But the ideology of gender fluidity, which has hijacked the same-sex marriage debate, and resulted in Obama’s repellent unisex toilets, is neo-Marxist claptrap that should have no place in our schools or anywhere else.
Now that the White House has given it the flick, our own politicians might find the courage to hop off “identity politics” and “diversity” bandwagons before they crash into electoral oblivion.
Finally, Islamic terrorism. You’ll never defeat a problem if you refuse to acknowledge it exists. Obama wouldn’t even utter “Islam” and “terrorism” in the same sentence, disgracefully calling it a “sort of manufactured” concept..........
