Abu bin Obama's war on police is over
Jan 23rd, 2017 at 5:59am

The WH website has a new page entitled Standing Up for our Law Enforcement Community.

Way to go!

We have watched in dismay while disrespect for the police has become an art form not just in the US but particularly there with the degeneration of society.

Now here's a guy who is setting about immediately to reverse that.

Well done Mr Trump!

Standing Up For Our Law Enforcement Community

One of the fundamental rights of every American is to live in a safe community. A Trump Administration will empower our law enforcement officers to do their jobs and keep our streets free of crime and violence. The Trump Administration will be a law and order administration. President Trump will honor our men and women in uniform and will support their mission of protecting the public. The dangerous anti-police atmosphere in America is wrong. The Trump Administration will end it.

The Trump Administration is committed to reducing violent crime. In 2015, homicides increased by 17% in America’s fifty largest cities. That’s the largest increase in 25 years. In our nation’s capital, killings have risen by 50 percent. There were thousands of shootings in Chicago last year alone.

Our country needs more law enforcement, more community engagement, and more effective policing.

Our job is not to make life more comfortable for the rioter, the looter, or the violent disrupter. Our job is to make life more comfortable for parents who want their kids to be able to walk the streets safely. Or the senior citizen waiting for a bus. Or the young child walking home from school.

Supporting law enforcement means supporting our citizens’ ability to protect themselves. We will uphold Americans’ Second Amendment rights at every level of our judicial system.

President Trump is committed to building a border wall to stop illegal immigration, to stop the gangs and the violence, and to stop the drugs from pouring into our communities. He is dedicated to enforcing our border laws, ending sanctuary cities, and stemming the tide of lawlessness associated with illegal immigration.

Supporting law enforcement also means deporting illegal aliens with violent criminal records who have remained within our borders.

It is the first duty of government to keep the innocent safe, and President Donald Trump will fight for the safety of every American, and especially those Americans who have not known safe neighborhoods for a very long time.

Is there anything that Trump will ever do that makes sense? Does he really think that 'empowering' police is the current problem with law enforcement?

The man is an ignorant clown.

The problem with this argument has been from the start it's seen to be an either/or argument.

You can be for the police but actually against police brutality.

Of course.
But the law cannot be allowed to be flouted. Respect is only possible when people feel secure in their streets and homes.

True, but Trump is all for the former and a bit ho-hum on the latter.  On such a super-sensitive and emotive topic, the message needs to be clever and calibrated, but as usual, it is just bluster.

the 'suspects' should treat cops with respect.

I always have and I have never had any problems with any police.

You dont live in America which is where we are talking about. American cops shoot crims and others every day of the week. Here in Oz, that is a rarity.

I dont have any problems with OZ cops either, but in USA I would assume that they could and do shoot innocent people or even people they THINK are guilty and act accordingly.

Even happened in the UK where the UK police tasered the racial harmony advisement officer.

Like the PhD student the other week they accused of stealing his own car.

Yeah, that was a good one and sadly, not unprecedented. A BMW-owning black woman was pulled over and had her car impounded because it was suspected stolen, not because it had been reported as such, but that a woman like her MUST have stolen it.  She was on one of Obamas favourite race committees. I am guess the cops got a very forceful phone call from big guys with bigger guns.

So we have established that longie & friends do not support the Trump WH statement on law & order.
Ergo they must support bending over backwards to support the looters & the shooters, the rioters and the vandals.
No doubt they also thought Obama's pardons etc forall tthose criminals was great, the most ever turned loose by a president.
