The photo ( and other evidence) proved that far fewer people personally attended Trump's inauguration that those who were are Trumps.

Spicer's claims are in the link and in particular:

So you disagree with his claim, that's OK. But what disproves this claim?

I would expect this to be more widely witnessed than most, considering the level of interest this campaign generated around the globe. I know I'd never have even considered paying attention to any other inauguration, but it was quite the spectacle, and I'm sure that would be reflected in global ratings.

I had a bit of a laugh watching a guest, Grover Norquist, on Bill Maher's 'Real Time' twisting himself in knots trying to socialise the term 'alternative facts' by using it to describe other facts, opinions etc... until Maher finally put him out of his misery!
