Spicer said blatantly untrue things in his press conference. But that is just par for the course for this administration.

Trump spent months insulting the intelligence of Americans and got away with it. So why shouldn't Spicer insult their intelligence.

He said magnetometers kept crowds off the Mall in Washington (not true) and that newfangled, never-before-used ground coverings made the empty spaces look more sparse (also not true).

Spicer added that “this was the largest audience to ever witness the inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe.” (Again not true)
