20 people are in hospital. It will not be easy to recover from this sort of trauma. PTSD is common in these situations - this effects all people equally.

Royal Children hospital treated 5 people. 4 children, and one 23 year old. The 3 months old in in surgery, and critical condition. I think the 3 months old is from the pram that got hit. And if you look at the footage, there is a pram bit on the bonnett of the red suspect car in the aftermath. Another child is in ICU. One have I think internal liver/spleen injury and in the ward.

Seems strange that the police would go on TV and say that they were chasing him, but decided to call it off in the interest of public safety.

Why do you suppose they said there was a chase, when there wasn't one - is it some sort of conspiracy?

Heads need to roll. Why was this guy out on bail, in public housing, being supported by taxpayers to be a drug addict.

The man who allegedly mowed down 18 people in Melbourne's CBD on Friday, killing three and injuring 15 others, has a history of drug use, violence and psychological problems.

James "Jimmy" Gargasoulas, 26, lived in public housing flats in Windsor, where he allegedly stabbed his brother, Angelo, in the early hours of Friday morning.

A relative said Jimmy has had a drug problem and has been in and out of jail for car theft and drug offences.

"Jimmy has always been a bad person," she said. "I knew it was him. I saw it on TV ... the picture of him sticking his head out when he was doing burnouts.

"I saw a picture and I thought 'Oh My God, that's Jimmy.' I'm shaking. I knew it, as soon as I saw that picture I had this feeling. I can't believe this.

"I balled out crying when they announced that baby died. I'm shaking, I just can't believe this."
