Could President Trump be impeached?

Yes, but it is pretty unlikely.

No president has ever actually been removed from office as a result of impeachment, although two — Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton — were found guilty of wrongdoing by the House of Representatives, before being cleared by the Senate, and in 1974 President Richard Nixon resigned rather than facing an impeachment process for several charges related to the Watergate scandal.

A major obstacle to impeaching Mr Trump is that both the House of Representatives and the Senate are controlled by the Republicans. Lots of people have speculated that Mr Trump's own party are unlikely to impeach him, unless of course they are put under a huge amount of public pressure.

But, then again, it is not impossible: many Republicans actually do not like the president-elect at all.

by the sound of that... if he was impeached it isnt what he may have done... but who likes or dislikes him..

Sad Sad Sad Sad

mmmmmmmmm very democratic..

fancy being impeached over gross sex in his office errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk..

only in America

Exactly why he'll be impeached in 6 months.

Well hello Marylou, who's going to impeach him?

You think the Republicans like him? Half of them didnt even vote for him. They tolerate him because he won. Give them half a chance and they will boot him to the kerb.  And he will be giving them more than half a chance.

They may dislike him but they are pragmatists: consider who would replace him...

Trump has said he will not divest ownership of his business while President. There is concern among top legal minds in the US that when Trump swears the Oath of Office, he will stand in violation of the Constitution’s foreign-emoluments clause. Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution forbids any “Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under [the United States]” from accepting any “any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State” (unless Congress explicitly consents)........

If push comes to shove, the Strongly Republican Congress Majority will most probably simply "Rubber Stamp" their approvals & consents if needed, & as such has been rumored to already have become secured ..... a 'done deal' so to speak.  Wink

Oh, & JFYI here is the actual wording of Article 1 Section 9 of the United States Constitution.....nothing out of context:

Quote:
Article 1  Section 9.

The migration or importation of such persons as any of the states now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a tax or duty may be imposed on such importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each person.

The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.

No bill of attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

No capitation, or other direct, tax shall be laid, unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

No tax or duty shall be laid on articles exported from any state.

No preference shall be given by any regulation of commerce or revenue to the ports of one state over those of another: nor shall vessels bound to, or from, one state, be obliged to enter, clear or pay duties in another.

No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law; and a regular statement and account of receipts and expenditures of all public money shall be published from time to time.

No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.

The actual wording sounds a little different don't it ......

.......without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state. Wink

Trump is like the sun....a source of pure energy.
he just "puts it out there".
The sun is going to do what the sun is going to do.
The sun is at the action as is Donald.
All you on lookers are at the "reaction".

Try to be more "sun-like"  , more "trump-like"
Being "reactive" is very low status, very "weak sauce", very feminine.

Be masculine, like Donald, penetrate the world with your ideas, be care-free, be unapologetic.

the sun penetrates, the sun doesnt care if "you" think its too hot, the sun doesnt apologise for a heat wave.the sun doesnt care if you like it or not, the sun doesnt "need' anything from the pathetic little crybabies sooking about it being a hot day. if you dont like the sun, go hide in a cave and STFU

Your faith in Trump is very feminine.

I see him as an inspirational figure.
i wouldnt say "feminine" but i do recognise him as a "superior man".
Trump has achieved soooo much.
Do you "get" how talented someone would need to be to take on the establishment and the media who both despised him and then just bust thru that wall like a sherman tank  .
I am in awe of such a man.

He has a huge international fan base.

i think its funny when people who are very insignificant, hate on "the successful guy".
Some of the friends of my duaghters were hating on Justin Beiber and they got this lecture as well.
Ive never even heard a Bieber song but thats not the point.

When you see someone who is crushing it, you aspire to study them and copy them.  If you hate them, you are not going to go into growth and it is your ego that is making you hate them because your ego realises that they DID it and you DIDNT and your ego wants to get off the hook for you being a punk ass bitch of a pussy and the only way is to hate success.

hatred of success always reveals a very deep character flaw...always.
if you hate success, your life is going nowhere and you are going to end up a piece of garbage.
love admire and copy success.

Why were they hating on him?

Does Justin Bieber pay his taxes?

Does he pay his contractors/workers?

Has he admitted to sexually assaulting women?

Has be been accused of gang raping a child, beating her, and then threatening to kill her and her family if she told anyone?

Is he a racist?

Has he mocked a disabled man in public?

Does he lie every time he opens his mouth?

Is that what makes someone "successful" in your eyes?

Incorrect, he is merely the highest office holder that must swear a Solemn Oath of Office:

Quote:
"I .............. do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The Oath is not to a Flag, Not to a Government, Not to any Person, Not to any Country......the Oath is to Preserve, Protect, & Defend the Constitution of the United States......period.....full stop.
