The First Amendment to the United States Constitution:
The First of Ten ..... aka The Bill of Rights ....... what the Government is forbidden to do, or what the Government must do, to protect & defend the Rights of the American People (American Citizens)
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
According to Law, the American People have the Right to Peaceful Protest
They do not have the right to light fires, except where permitted by law.
They do not have the right to break windows.
They do not have the right to deface private or public property.
They do not have the right to turn over motor vehicles.
They do not have the right to impede traffic, or the passage of ordinary citizens traveling from place to place.
They do not have the right to physically disrupt peaceful events, even though they disagree with them.
They do not have the right to forcefully intimidate citizens with any physical means.
These are just a few things they can't do without breaking the law.
When their actions become in any way, manner, or form non-peaceful or violent....they are in breach of the law, & the law must be enforced to the fullest extent by.......law enforcement.
When & if the Protestors become violent, they become criminals, & they no longer have the Right to Peacefully Protest.
So, in the end, if the protestors become violent, Law Enforcement must enforce the law, & they must enforce the law by any means necessary.....if it requires that law enforcement needs to resort to violent measures, so be it, they are permitted to enforce the laws as required.
Bikers, & or vigilantes, have no right to enforce the law unless they are officially requested to do so, & after being sworn in by law enforcement itself........if Bikers & Vigilantes take the law into their own hands, they too become criminals subject to the actions & penalties of the law, & law enforcement too.
