You're an idiot. I'm an independent who voted for Obama and for Sanders.
On November 9, I wasn't happy Trump won, but I was relieved Clinton lost.

Now my country is moving on, and the only way we can is to watch, listen, give the new President a chance and hold him accountable AFTER he does something wrong, instead of trying to set him up for failure.

The people who are trying to set him up for failure are seditious conspirator a-holes.

Dnara acknowledges that his political opponents are "righties" meaning they are right and I am in fact an idiot!

Well said Dna most truthful comment you have made.

Do you mean like the GOP Congressmen and Senators who resisted and opposed every action of Obama and challenged his legitimacy?

2 more sleeps till Tumps Inauguration

Its only 1 day now. America is waking up and a new day is starting for the people. Its going to be a bit rough when a few many rotten teeth get extracted but it will be worth it.

Maybe Australia should look at draining your swamp - Lake Burley Griffin - plenty of scum there.

yes, that sounds more than reasonable.

I genuinely believe Donald Trump will be an excellent President.
I really wish we had someone here like him or like Nigel Farage.

U....you need to read more...and with better comprehension.
From January 2009 til January 2015, Democrats controlled the Senate. From January 2009 til January 2011, the Democrats controlled the House as well as the Senate.
Rarely in US history, has a President enjoyed such a long period of his party's control.

Yes there were GOP congressmen who attempted to undermine Obama's initiatives in the course of their work, but that's quite different than dark-money-funded SuperPacs hiring people to slander, riot, and abuse private citizens and entertainers who they fear will validate the incoming President.

This is seditious conspiracy.

Seditious conspiracy is a crime that is committed when two or more persons conspire to forcibly: a. destroy or overthrow the U.S. government; b. create obstacles or prevent the execution of U.S. laws; c. oppose the authority of the U.S. government; or d. unlawfully possess or take property that belong to the nation. The first amendment of the U.S. constitution protects people who have differing ideas from rest of the population. But these rights are not available to persons who make threats. The U.S. Supreme Court has made it clear that free speech extends to protests, the exchange of ideas, and points in debate, but it does not include direct threats to a person's safety.

The following is an example of a federal statute on seditious conspiracy:

18 USCS § 2384. Seditious Conspiracy.

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

yes, I think the 'media' and 'linked attitudes' against Trump are very inappropriate.
To say the least.

He has repeatedly stated how bad the press is.
He is not joking. This is why he is bringing in popular bloggers and the like.

You are correct about the media. Sharyl Attkisson, a former CBS reporter who was harassed when pursuing stories on the government, said it well.
"There is unprecedented, I believe, influence on the media, not just the news, but the images you see everywhere. By well-orchestrated and financed campaign of special interests, political interests and corporations. I think all of that comes into play."

At present, only 6% of Americans trust our media, and for good reason. They(over 90% of media) are owned by five global corporations, which are controlled by the wealthiest 0.01%, who invest not only in media as a tool for influencing public opinion -- but also invest heavily in both the Democratic and Republican parties' major players, as a means of managing outcomes to profit themselves.

That's extraordinary.  What a sense of distrust.
It's hard to believe.
This is why I fully support Trump using twitter and Utube for 'Presidential comments.'
It is 100% efficient and 'unadulterated'.

Aust has quite given up on our politicians I believe.
We have been 'poorly managed' for well over a decade.
