Probably not daily tantrums we will hear about, but behind closed doors the paint would start peeling off the walls some days. He will try to rule by decree anyway, and so abuse his powers.

~The economy will start to retract as his constant threats and demands spook industry from both moving offshore and moving onshore.

I don't think the economic effects will be felt this quickly. Later on though, the economy will start to struggle, especially with Congress taking no action to lift the minimum wage which has been US$7.25 an hour since 2009. This will cause homelessness to increase, poverty to increase, and the promised jobs not to materialise.

longweekend58 wrote on Jan 12th, 2017 at 7:58am:
~Obamacare will be dumped and nothing put in its place.

He has promised to introduce an alternative, but like you I don't believe he will keep many promises.

longweekend58 wrote on Jan 12th, 2017 at 7:58am:
~Russia will move on Ukraine either invading or posturing and Trump will do nothing... or worse.

Trump will struggle in foreign affairs when he realises the rest of the world doesn't buy his bullsht.

longweekend58 wrote on Jan 12th, 2017 at 7:58am:
~Twitter will close Trumps account

Trump will have problems with Twitter, such as sending out tweets to the wrong account on several occasions. He will inherit the official @Potus account but will mix his accounts up.

longweekend58 wrote on Jan 12th, 2017 at 7:58am:
~Freedom of speech will be narrowed, if not by legislation then by threat and intimidation.

An accurate assessment.

longweekend58 wrote on Jan 12th, 2017 at 7:58am:
~General bizzare and contradictory behaviour.

Also accurate.

longweekend58 wrote on Jan 12th, 2017 at 7:58am:
~There will be one assassination attempt

Only one perhaps, but I also expect hundreds of people to be locked up as "terrorists" for various assassination plots. Americans will consider all their options including those enabled by the Second Amendment.

...

Other predictions:
* Within six months, many people who voted for him will no longer admit publicly to doing so.
* He will keep some promises, such as building infrastructure. It won't be enough to prevent the economy from stagnating starting in 2018.
* His plan to cut taxes without a source of funds will cause the US deficit to increase by 50% within 3 years followed by another downgrade in the USA's credit rating.
* Republicans will take a hammering in the 2018 midterm elections, making no gains in the Senate, losing 40 HoR seats and with it losing control of the House despite the pro-Republican gerrymander in roughly 30 states. (Historically the midterm elections have tended to swing against the President's party.)
* Liberals (American liberals = left-leaning) will mobilise to create their version of the Tea Party movement, with Bernie Sanders being prominent.
* His approval rating will reach record lows not seen for any previous sitting President. (Lowest was 19% approval for GW Bush in early 2008, Trump's approval will go below this.)

Stupider?  Grin Grin Grin

Why not?

Jan 4, 2017 - Stupider is the comparative form of the adjective “stupid.”
Stupider | Define Stupider at Dictionary.com

Its the difference between commonplace writing and good writing.  Commonplace writing is words like what you would  say out loud. Good writing is crafted communication using uncommon words, uncommon phrases and a fully articulated message. "Stupider' is fine for speech and common writing, but good writing is a much higher standard.

That said, this is a forum and 'well-crafted communication' here is like throwing pearls before swine.

we have had a share thats for sure...

I am not sure what harm it does....as long as the fantasy is only on here.....

we also have our share of con men who make others lives miserable with their lies and deceit...

so its not always amusing...

maybe more sympathetic towards them as it is a psychosis ... losing it with reality Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

the first 100 days of any new government or administration is usually the most critical. Opposition is usually fairly muted to enable the govt to find its feet although the Republicans have never quite understood that. It also gives observers an insight into what the new leader is likely to be like.

So what do you think will happen in Trumps first 100 days?  Here are my estimates.

~He will throw a daily tantrum because his extensive powers still dont enable him to rule by decree, something he would already know if he had ever run anything other than his own personal fiefdom.

I've given up trying to predict Trump.

About the only thing I think is certain is much media hysteria - justified or otherwise.

why is it you try to turn everything into a bet all the time? It doesn't matter what the topic is, you want to bet on it.

Either you're trying to bignote yourself, or you have a gambling problem. Either way, seek help.

HOLY CRAP!!! Look who's back!  The buzzard.

I suspect we might share similar views on Trump which will be nice for a change.
