Have some compassion - it's a genuine case:

Give me a break!
This snowflake has turned a bad situation into a life-long excuse to avoid carrying his own weight. He's turned his story into a Victimhood Industry money-earner as a professional drama queen.
Countless men have returned from combat situations where they've heard and seen a lot more going on than a girlfriend being forced to have involuntary intercourse with some strangers.
herbert, i think you are , perhaps, playing devils advocate.
this would indeed be a very traumatic event to go thru.
my daughter was pinned under a car and badly injured and she passed out from being unable to breath and she spent several weeks in hospital. after this , she became quite PTSD and i had to think about this situation.
My feeling is that the current psychologist treatment is harmful and also that sitting and dwelling on something is harmful.
what we think about or talk about creates synaptic highways in our brain.
if you want to end up fearful, then just replay that old record over and over and over and you will build a highway in your brain that just moves all your thoughts down it. and you will have a dirt road to confidence.
this is why i say dont think self pitying thoughts and dont go to counsellors and talk about the "bad stuff" over and over as you are just putting more lanes on your highway to unhappiness.
Process orientation is the answer.
skiing is an example of process orientation.
there is not point to skiing , you just go up a hill and back down, but the "process" allows "focus" and this builds "confidence"" and gets rid of "cortisol and adrenaline".
really, the best thing this guy could have done is get a job that he enjoyed where he was focusing on that and just moved on.
But people do so love their pain (or they love building those highways). and the victimhood industry love being paid to pour the concrete that allows the victim to build more and more lanes to unhappiness.
truly they are all crazy to do this and it just wrecks lives
