Longy is long on abuse.

What part of the OP shows Aussie claiming to be more than a taxi driver in that instance?

I read this:

Quote:
I dunno whether to feel sorry or otherwise for this bloke.  I had him as the sole passenger in the cab some years ago, after he retired from playing.

And can’t see anything that says Aussie was other than a taxi driver there.

Read the OP again and see if you can possibly work out what other people worked out. Now it will be a difficult taks because it will require you to do more than simply red words, but to also COMPREHEND meaning.

And while you do that I might download some large super-fast files in the middle of a heatwave - something your said is IMPOSSIBLE.

And that is the problem with trying to debate with an imbecile. You dont understand almost anything and so no debate is possible. You just throw up some words on a page and thing you have constructed an argument when in fact, you have rarely even constructed a sentence.

Longy is long on abuse. That shows you have nothing to bring to a debate.

There is the "right ' way to use christianity and the easy way.

the right way is to understand the deep meaning of walking the christian path which is a very narrow road to success, a road of humility and compassion.

and there is the 'easy' way to use christianity. this is to use it to pump your ego and feel that you are a 'superior being' and that salvation belongs to "you".

Humans, live in the default where they will usually do the easy thing.

For christians (as for all cohorts of humans), failure is the norm and mediocrity is the default.

I have had the pleasure of living right next door to 3 churches....and believe me all have had their problems....two Anglican one Baptist..

the family side thought they were superior and of course had special rights... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

and the members of the church invariably had dealing with the schools my kids attended...and they came across as very clicky  yet behind peoples backs were just as bitchy....

I always thought they thought sitting on a wooden bench once a week..meant it was ok for them..

Other news links say it was a deliberate poison overdose.

I dunno whether to feel sorry or otherwise for this bloke.  I had him as the sole passenger in the cab some years ago, after he retired from playing.

He was constantly on the mobile and the discussion seemed all high flying business deals going on in which he was the centre of success.

Pretty rude of him actually.

Perhaps he was only pretending to be on the phone so he didn't have to talk to you.

now now gordy.....

I liked James Hird and feel he was a scapegoat .. a NRL guy committed suicide not long ago.. there is a terrible culture in our sporting world...

the AFL hung James out to dry... I cant say as I know all the details but really where are all the directors of these clubs who are only interested in one thing...
MONEY how much is the gate worth.. and nothing else. when are they going to be held accountable?..

Cousins is another one....they dont care what shape these guys walk out that  door in....its disgraceful..

LOL I've never heard of the guy. Just sayin I always have my phone handy to 'take a call' when I get cabbies I imagine Aussie to be like Smiley

You don't catch a train to sit and chat to the train driver or the other passengers.  Ditto when you catch a bus.  You just want to get from A to B with a minimum of fuss.

Cabbies in Sydney sit and talk in foreign tongues into their ear pieces the whole time and have God awful music playing on their radios.  I consider that to be inconsiderate and rude.

When I catch a cab the last thing I want to do is chat to the driver, it's not a social exercise, I just want to sit and think my own thoughts whilst not having to concentrate on driving myself.  It's not rude.  It's normal.
