Agreed. All essays shall be anonymous.

What topic should we choose?

wrong yet again. Firstly it wasnt plagiarised and the total absence of proof was more than enough to debunk that.

really? so you signing off your own attempt with  'reprinted with the kind permission off xxxx' (or words to that effect) wasn't proof enough for you?

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

And...didn't 'his' piece also purport to quote some European expert who turned out to be non-existent?   Might be wrong about that.

i gave up listening to his excuses after a while.... I remember he got busted cheating and then went into hiding Grin Grin

Isn't that about the time we met Maria?

funnily enough, it was. Cheesy Cheesy

If Karnal chose a support of peadophelia for your subject I suspect that would be because of a long game in order for Karnal and others, John Smith/Peccerhead/Aussie et al, to recycle those arguments divorced from this 'competition' in future debates  and accuse you of supporting peadophelia.

Good point, Secret. Let's all do paedophilia to keep it fair.

1200 words in support of paedophilia. No sexual details, obviously. This avoids any claim of child pornography.

Thoughts?

What excuse?  A perfectly valid reason to not touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Maybe Karnal should submit the essay on support for peadophelia, after all, for a Muslim that would be a good fit, the exemplar of that most perfect man as an inspiration.  Smiley

Do you really think a topic on the support of paedophilia could be read by anyone without bias and residual thoughts about the author?   No matter who wrote it?

Poor choice of topics in my opinion.

Explain how and why, BO.  Leave the ad hom out.

Read up Aussie.

For precisely the reason of the way you are acting right now.  LW would not have a hope with the sort of bias you persistently show.

I'll not do any such thing.  It's 2017 and Ima not gonna tolerate your crap any longer.

You made the claim:

Put up or shut up, Black Orchid.  Explain how and why.

Alternatively, faaaaark off back to PA.

What on Earth can I do which would affect 'LW's' contribution or anyone else's.  As usual, you make no sense, and I want you to explain your comments.

I think it should be done on the General Board and not moved to a sub-forum.  That usually spells disaster.  Unless Bogey is willing to host it in Books.

No worries. It can be posted on the General board.

I must say, I'd be a bit worried having Bogie moderate - he rarely references his own posts, never mind others'.

We don't need a board, just a fair person to repost our contributions.

No doubt in my mind at all John that you would use such an exercise as a basis for future attacks and to make out of context accusations.

No doubt what so ever.

Aussie please take your show on the road elsewhere.

I don't think Relationships would be an appropriate forum for anything serious to run its course without severe interference and the topic is hardly about Relationships and is very serious.

I doubt I am not alone in these thoughts and if that offends you  ...   well too bad!

You are demonstrating right now how strong your bias is and why you should not host it.

It's an opinion.  Live with it.

It can work this way:

Each participant PMs (as per your original idea) their piece to "me."  I'll post them as they arrive in a hidden Thread in Relationships.  At the deadline for contributions, I'll open that Thread for view by everyone AND move it to the General Section.  In that way, all pieces are read by the Members at the same time.

That will be the sum total of 'my' involvement.

Then perhaps put it in General and make the submissions to Setanta or Big Vic.  Probably Setanta as he is here more often.

Ah, yes. I forgot about Longy going into hiding for refusing to accept his own challenge. It's a pity poor old Maria copped the brunt of that, but let's be thankful for small mercies.

Longy is now back to take up his challenge.
