Paraphilias are behaviours and desires or needs that are considered atypical and subjectively 'abnormal'. It is a very poor word as it is far too general and includes the bizarre, the odd, the fascinating, the evil and the disgusting. In my works I do not use the term at all other than an introduction to specifically explain why I dont use the term and to introduce a more correct set of terminology.
