After talking with the President-elect, Bill Gates said he expects him to carry the US through new stages of innovation just like Kennedy did with the space program in the 1960s.
He said he believes the new administration will bring new ideas in areas like education, science & energy through greatly reduced regulation.

There's no doubt that the US "chose to go to the moon in this decade" to honour the legacy of Kennedy.

He was, by that, a great leader, who could still inspire and lead his nation from beyond the grave.

However, it was Kennedy's naivety and (maybe) youthful belligerence and posturing that brought the world closer to the edge of a nuclear holocaust than any President before or since.
