Trump already delivering for US
Nov 30th, 2016 at 11:19am

And he's not even sworn in yet.

The Hill:
The Donald Trumpi

team and Carrier have reached an agreement to keep about 1,000 manufacturing jobs in Indiana, fulfilling one of Trump's major campaign promises.

Carrier confirmed the news, first reported by the New York Times, on Twitter.
"We are pleased to have reached a deal with President-elect Trump & VP-elect Pence to keep close to 1,000 jobs in Indy. More details soon.

11:54 AM - 30 Nov 2016"

In March, Carrier, one of the biggest air conditioning companies in the U.S., announced it would close its facility in Indianapolis and move operations to Mexico, eliminating 1,400 jobs.

The deal reportedly will keep a majority of the jobs in the state in exchange for friendlier business regulations and an overhauling of the corporate tax code.

Trump is also expected to tone down his rhetoric threatening 35 percent tariffs on companies that shift production out of the country, the Times reports.

Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence
, Indiana's governor, will announce the details of the agreement on Thursday at Carrier's Indianapolis plant, according to the Times.

Trump frequently railed against the move and pledged to force Carrier to keep its jobs in the U.S. while on the campaign trail.

"Here's what's going to happen," Trump told a crowd in Indianapolis in April. "I'll get a call from the head of Carrier and he'll say, 'Mr. President, we've decided to stay in the United States. That's what's going to happen -- 100 percent."

The Hill has reached out to both Carrier and the Trump campaign for comment.

In exchange for keeping the factory running in Indianapolis, Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence are expected to reiterate their campaign pledges to be friendlier to business by easing regulations and overhauling the corporate tax code. .........

This is a good result for the US

But how long will it last? Clearly Carrier is simply delaying its move in the expectation that Trump will deliver on his tax-cut proposals. And when he fails to do so, Carrier will move then.

And given that Trump wants to literally disband the Environmental Protection Agency, be very fearful of what 'less regulation' might mean. Dumping toxic waste without oversight is certainly cheaper. Less stringent emission standards on cars will also make them cheaper. But do you really want that?

Amazing work Mr Trump.
During your campaign you rightly pointed out how obama and hillary lost US jobs.
One of your key goals was to get them back.

You are not even sworn in and you can turn around and say "Here are 1000 jobs on our soils still."

Marvelously well done Good Sir.

He also pointed out, on a daily basis, that the election was rigged.

How can he now accept the position of President, when he's admitted to gaining the office through an illegitimate process?

Employment has risen under Obama. It had to - the US economy was in the biggest recession since the Great Depression when Obama came in.

When Trump talks about unemployment, he's saying the unemployment figures are rigged too. The election, unemployment figures, economic growth figures, the GDP, immigration figures, and even the president's birth certificate.

All rigged.

Now that Trump's in charge, we should get some honesty, no?

I am surprised that more media dont point this out. Isnt supporting an outcome only if you win the kind of thing we laughed at even in primary school? And now he is even claiming he wont the vote itself. We all know Trump has no shame, but are all his supporters that shameless?

This is going to be one fiasco after another with Trump at the helm and there will always be someone else to blame.

I honestly do not understand how anyone could have voted for this clown with the things he continues to say. Almost nothing makes sense. Most things are flat-out lies and his behaviour is the antithesis of statesman-like.

I sense I will get a lot of laughs out of the next administration, but it could also be a great deal of failure as well.
