While  don't like them, suicide and persecution is not the answer.

It's very rare for kids with sexual identity disorders to grow into happy adults.

These kids need psychiatric help, the sooner this is realized the better off they'll be.

Why don't you like them? Why do you think what consenting others do in the privacy of their own bedrooms is anything to do with you?

Psychiatric interventions won't help.  They are born and hard wired that way.

If it wasn't for people like you, we wouldn't need any of this "safe schools" bullshit

Indeed.

And disgraceful PsOS like Mr Hammer.

The thread title, "regardless of your views on homos" is revealing

It is people like Mr hammer, by the very title of this thread, that caused this boys suicide.

Finally...you have posted something I can agree with!  Back in my day, blokes like me (I was bigger than most of my peers at School) knocked this schit off right there and then.  (I concede the bullying was not gender related......but it still went on.......skinny, fat.......wanker.............whatever.)  I also agree that Parents are now far too modest about stepping in at School on behalf of their bullied kid.

If one of mine was being done like this, I (personally.....yeas....me personally) would be right there in the bully's face and likely belt the little prick.

Sue me.
So you would beat up a child.

If the matter was not addressed by the School, and mine was likely to be suicidal, without any hesitation.

I don't mean that I would beat the shite out of an 'eight' year old literally.  But.....I would be physically (and I am not a small person) in his face telling him what will come his way from me if he did not stop bullying mine.

I'd give the bully their own back, as a parent of the victim of their bullying.

To take that a step further.  This is a true story I revealed at what was a credible PA some years ago.  I'm telling it as it is, and knowing the Law, but retired at the time.

We (Cabbies) as a routine dropped off at Schools and picked up from Schools, teenagers who attended a 'Special School,' for mentally challenged kids who were still able to go to School.

An afternoon pick-up.  All routine.   But, one  was not there, so I get out of the Cab to go inside to find out where he is.

I've gone no more that five yards away from the Cab, and dodge a missile thrown at me.  It hits the Cab.  A soft drink bottle.

Me:  "Which retard?"

They all froze and then pointed out some male kid I have never had any dealing with.  I go straight to him...I put my right hand (not a small thing) on his chest, and march him back against a tree which was nearby.  While I had him  pinned there, I gave him a gob full, and then released him.  I then marched straight to the Teacher's Staff Room and gave them the details.

They thanked me.

Never had any trouble there ever again

Sometimes, there is only one way to tell a kid he is an arse-hole.

Me? I would take my kid out of the school.

Mum is not to blame but for the kid's sake she should have pulled him out. Removing yourself or those you love from a bad situations is almost always a good idea.

thats fair to say but mum admitted the boy had feminine ways.. he would get the bullying where ever he went....what did his mum say about sticks and stones.?..  they thought turning the other cheek would protect him......not in this day and age...

I dont really know what the answer is  lets be honest one size doesnt fit all...all I know is we have to do more and in each and every school....as to my mind this is getting worse.

And place them where?  At another School where the same crap happens?

Nah.

Anywhere where they are happy. Schooling is compulsory and absolutely essential, where that happens is not. As I have said here before, reasons like this are why we home schooled.

Yeah, I'd rather my kids be able to learn without that kind of shyte and did, none of them are gay either.

If you, like others, think that is sub standard, one is a fitter and turner, one software engineer for Northrop Grumman and one registered nurse.

It was my first thought, I can assure you, but it's so fraught with undesirable consequences unless you carry a badge with you.

using the word "homos" was not appropriate. he was a terrified kid who couldn't see past his immediate circumstances. had he been in a different environment he would be alive today ...

Aversion therapy. Electric shock treatment like alcoholics get. They flash a picture of a six-pack and receive an electric shock, but with young homos they flash a picture of Gregg and get a shock even with the power not turned on.

Oh yes .. trust me, the staff and the Principle would have known.

My niece was a teacher in a State school for 8 years and the principle didn't want anything to do with hauling bullies into his study and reading them the Riot Act lest the parents came and beat down his door.

And in this case, if the bullies were anything other than lily-white, then even more so would nothing have been done about it for fear of charges of 'racism'.

But in this case the headmaster should be sued in court if
he knew about the bullying & did nothing to stop it.

Damages should be in the $millions & he should be personally liable.

Your attitude. The boy copped attitudes just like yours and your views on "homos" and now he is dead.
