My old Sidchrome 1/4" socket set which I bought probably 30 years ago gets far more use than the others.

Very handy addition to ones tool box.

I have even added a 1/4" screw driver type handle to use with them which is useful at times.

Metrinch are my favourite, they don't damage nuts and bolts they can even undo rounded ones.

Interesting you say that as I always wondered if they would damage nuts as they dont grip the nut properly on the flat surfaces. Especially undoing rusted on nuts where a lot of pressure has to be applied.

yes, most bolts are suitable for 1/4" drive.

I bought an adaptor so can use the square drive socket set in my hex shaped electric screwdriver/ cordless drilldriver
