Dear Jesus, when are they ever going to face the truth and stop trying to sucker the general public with this bullshit.

'Overcoming Italian Disadvantage'.
'Overcoming Greek Disadvantage'
'Overcoming Chinese Disadvantage'.
'Overcoming Filipino Disadvantage'
'Overcoming Pacific Islander Disadvantage'
'Overcoming Indian Disadvantage'.

... and the rest.

So how did the above and The Rest overcome disadvantage?

Answer: They crossed the oceans, and after making landfall in Australia they sought and gained employment in ANY jobs that were going available, and from there they clawed themselves up from poverty and today are leading members of society.

It really is as simple as that.

Forget the Smoke Ceremonies, and the body-painting bullshit, and the stamping in the dust dancing for the tourists.

The commission's Overcoming Indigenous Disadvantage report says despite some positive trends, the plight of Indigenous Australians has "stagnated or worsened" in critical areas of wellbeing.

Among the findings, the national Indigenous imprisonment rate has surged by 77 per cent over the past 15 years and the hospitalisation rate for self harm is up by 56 per cent over the past decade".

I AM A VICTIM.

I'm a white, Anglo Saxon, white, christian , average income earning, heterosexual, taxpaying, baby boomer, married male, with children who have all left home.

I pay for everyone else, but get no relief, no tax concessions, no child care, no baby bonus, no paternity leave, no special interest or other grants and after slogging away all my life, paying high interest rates for my home and working 45 years, Im deemed a drain on the system.

Ill tell you what.
Stop all grants, no baby bonus, no child care, no special interest group grants, no first home owners grants, no super top up, no nothing.

Increase interest rates so I can live off my hard earned savings, bring home loans back to 10%, it will do you lot good to learn how to live tough.
Make all dole/ pensions EXACTLY the same regardless of who you are and what you are.

Sounds like a plan

THAT WAY I WONT FEEL SO MUCH OF A VICTIM.

If the worldwide trend against political correctness continues,,, eventually we will be able to say the truth about our indidjunus peebles.

Its genetic they survived in Australia by sitting under a shady tree when the conditions were too tough.
When things got a bit easier they got a feed.
Not hunt and gather a surplus, just a feed then sit down again

They still have that trait in a lot of them.

I am not saying its a bad thing, they did bloody well to survive.

Yes we did have it easy.
No first home owners grants.
18% interest rates
No child care rebates
No baby bonus

We had jobs and we worked and saved

We did with second hand cars, fixed them ourselves and bought parts from wreckers.

I became quite good are restoration and plumbing and electrical work.
Overseas holidays wee for the rich and famous, we made do with camping at Foster, and for the first 10 years I worked my holiday beak to save a deposit for our first home.
Eating out was fish and chips or Maccas, no fancy restaurants for us.
Once a year we had our anniversary, our one night out, it cost about 1/2 a weeks wage.

Yep, we had it easy.
But they were good years and I would not swap them for the GIMME GIMME GIMME youth of today.

The only thing 'damning' about the Report is that for reasons of racial discrimination the government does not require that aborigines be looking for work and attending interviews while receiving the dole.

I personally don't mind if a very small section of our society receives these special considerations because they were here first, and because many of them are simply unfit to join the Rat Race like the rest of us, but I think it's a bit rich when this very same group start whinging and complaining despite their uniquely privileged status as distinct from the rest of us.
