So.. hit the wrong key.

The Whale Warrior looks pretty tough , from what little I saw on the News. 

They are advertising , by giving details of the massive water cannon they have mounted on the Whale Warrior. How they will use it , if necessary, to get between the whalers and their prey, using the cannon to prevent any on-deck activities on ships of the whalers.
That is so necessary. Go you mighty warriors.

WHY?. Is this so important.

Because in the claims made by the Japanese of the right to kill whales, no matter what the LAW says, we see an example of the true problem with the human world today.

Like we see with Russian bombings of hospitals in Syria, and similar outrages elsewhere... carried out by powers who consider themselves outside the common laws of decency and ' rightness' .. it is a reflection of what people are now allowing to occur.
Like the US election. All decency and sense of goodness has been quashed by the weight of ill-reason and wrong thinking.

So I see the WHALE WARRIOR as a really positive thing. Willing to go where Angels fear to tread.i

Whale meat is a better option than chicken.

Whale meat is not even eaten that often in Japan. They have given it away to try and get people to eat it but guess what, a big tuna is what they want to eat. Japan is not a traditional whaling nation, it came about after ww2 and the need for protein. Yes, certain areas had a history of beaching a few whales but it was not a national or traditional food supply.

I've never eaten it, but THAT is NOT the point.

Whales are not a part of the human food chain.  Not now anyway.

OK the Inuits can do as they choose... they are the only true cultural whale-eaters on the planet. They are the only exception I make to whale-hunting. Assuming they still do it on a needs basis.
The Norwegians and such can claim the right to hunt whales, as some sort of cultural  'need'. I don't buy that either, but the JAPANESE...?  WTF..? 

These people and governments like the ones who claim  a  cultural right to this are playing games. At the expense of sentient beings, whose right to life is as great as ours. I would extend this to many other species, but we are talking about whale-hunting here... for commercial, but truly unsound reasons....

Funny this cultural 'right' doesn't apply across the board. 

Why don't we allow former headhunters a week in the sun.?  Or cannibals.? Hmmm?
