The fault may be in the way you were reading it. When I first read that I thought they may have miscalculated the heating effect over land masses vrs over oceans and through the atmosphere

Unfortunately, Dines died in the mid-1920’s and did not inform Richardson about the error.

So is Derek Alker claiming that there is no such thing as the Greenhouse effect?

I guess we'll just have to take Alker's word for it that William Henry Dines calculations were so fatally flawed, although it does seem odd that William Henry Dines is mostly famous for inventing Meteorological Instruments and taking measurements with them in the 19th century. I am also astonished that it has taken over 100 years for these "errors" to be found.

So what reputable scientific establishment published Derek Alker's paper?

Yup, great little dog and a good ratter. Had some great walks with her, the whole length of the Torrens Linear Park up to the Gorge Weir (built 1856) and aquaduct and the Pioneer Women Trail from Burnside to Hahndorf.
