I did - the term 'fine piece of ass' is different for each user, but in the case of some is an appreciative expression of all that the user finds good about the viewee at quick glance...

It would depend on context.

What would you find more offensive.
A random truck driver leaning out the window calling you 'a fine piece of ass' or a male boss?

Oh well!  A truck driver/building worker is a peon!  A boss is a higher order of being!  Get it right!!

I would and have found it offensive wherever it is used.

Really? When a building worker/truck driver says such a thing he's only making a physical observation and not in a position to deliver characterizations about personality. It's a throw away line.

Just don't get it, do you?

Would you be ok with your daughter being referred to as a fine piece of ass?

So you wouldn't mind your daughter being referred to as a piece of ass in certain situations?

Sicko.

Just so you know, most women find it offensive.

It is context.

A woman is not a "piece" of anything, let alone "ass".

Would you like your daughter being referred to a a piece of ass?

And when someone tells you you're a "nasty piece of work"

what then?  Roll Eyes

Why would we be "grateful for the attention"?

You think women are validated by men?

And you lot wonder why we need feminism .. jesus.

No .... some of them are certainly invalid on their own without help.  Grin

You don't need affirmative action hidden behind the BS label of feminism and being run by feminazis

if you require affirmative action in every sphere of endeavor then to me it's obvious you're not suited.

There we go, we were having a nice chat until you brought out the ad hom.

Please show me where I said I don't mind it? I'm just saying it's weighted differently depending on context.

If my daughter told me a guy on a construction site whistled at her and called her a fine piece of ass, I'd roll my eyes and say, see, I told you men are pigs. In that case it's poor taste, not a turn of phrase I like, but it's essentially meaningless. That person isn't judging my daughter other than in a crass but ultimately meaningless way.

The person most demeaned in my opinion is the construction worker for showing a lack of manners and decorum.

If she said she went for a job interview and the interviewer put her CV on the desk and said, you're a fine piece of ass,  I'd hold an entirely different view.
