'objectification of women'?  You mean a man can no longer follow his natural instincts and place a high value on a fine piece of ass?

Grow up....

Come on, you know that is not what I'm talking about.

Every man likes to look at a nice female, except for some strange ones that prefer other men, dogs, cats, sheep, goats and shoes.

By objectification I mean they are seen as nothing more than chattel, something to be owned, have no self worth but are objects to be treated as such.

This objectification is the unseen chains that bind women in THE CULT to the horrors of this cult.

Its not objectification to appreciate a nice looking female, unless you do it openly and with malicious intent.

Seriously though, Valk - in this day and age, how much of that really goes on?  And how much is nothing more than the ingrained different natures of men and women - something nowhere more apparent that in boys and girls at public school?  The point is that the two natures CAN make a great team - a fine blending of opposites - but they are - like NRL and NBL - two different approaches to a ball game and cannot be played against one another.

I think the malicious intent is more than 'objectification', though in order to view a woman as just something to shag is definitely making an object of her.  In that case, why then has it become a crime for a man to love his woman and seek to maintain their steady partnership?

Again, such overly-theorised non-reasoning on an emotional basis by those who espouse 'feminism' offers a clear opportunity to label such Feminazis, since they seek to impose a governance by violence and threat over a social group, in defiance of the natural inclinations of the human race.

I suppose, as a footnote, that those who hold such non-reasoning could be excluded from the human race........ not fit to govern, etc... entitled to their opinion but never permitted to take over running the show and turning it into a lunatic asylum, just one point of view that has ZERO 'right' to exclude opposing views based on some absurd presumption of academic superiority and support.

A fine example was Labor's Steve Smith from Darkest Western Australia wanting to shove women willy-nilly into Direct Combat, then waffling that it is now a Right ™ for them to apply and try but they simply can't make the grade .... educated smart and full of theory but thick as two planks nailed end to end in the real world (are they still advertising all those little girlies on fork lifts signing up for a year in the Army?) .... and one has to ponder the fate of his students back home under that mentality, which says 'adhere to MY line or fail'..... some academic smarts right there, and we laugh at Islam and 'everything is already written down' etc....

Referring to a woman as a "fine piece of ass", despite being an American word (which is pathetic) is objectification.

She has a name. She is a person. A whole person.

Don't you think it depends on the level of interaction?
If a man sees a random person who happens to be a neuroscientist on the beach killing it in a bikini and only thinks of her in sexual terms, isn't that just fine?

Yes.

Did you understand my point?

Is it ever OK to refer to a woman as 'a fine piece of ass'?

My chemistry professor lady of the past was slim, red-headed, and utterly gorgeous... one of the reasons she adored me was that I appreciated ALL of her, but the first thing was I appreciated her work and her efforts and placed a high value on her achievement - that thing she did by hard work with zero handouts .... unlike the majority of men at the university....  Wink

Oh - that indescribable feeling of comfort from being in the company of a kindred spirit....

I'd never use that Americanisim either so lets substitute a more Australian term. How about a, hottie, cracker?

Can't deny biology - any man of the heterosexual persuasion who says he does not automatically 'check out' a woman, despite all the assurances that is not the case and even though it has somehow  become a sin, is a liar.  Just like trying to deny motherhood to 'pursue a career' while at the same time using motherhood to gain advantage through childcare, time off, income supplement, and even divorce settlement, is equally a lie.

You cannot deny biology..... and to do so is a sign of the weakness of our people at this time, and is startlingly reminiscent of the Muslim idea of covering women up.

Do you seriously want such a society foisted upon us with all it entails?

In some ways, this compulsory de-sexualisation of the highly sexual human race means the term Feminazi is very applicable to those rabid theorists who seek to do just that.

Did i say you can't check someone out?

No.

I said referring to a woman as a "fine piece of ass" was objectification.

Focus now.

Ah - so it's perfectly in order to 'feel' a woman is a fine piece of ass (a term that encompasses an overall evaluation and not just her ass and incorporates many factors many unseen - the point 1 of a second once-over) - but you're not allowed to express it and must appear as a robot in front of her, lest you be chastised by the goddesses of self-righteousness, guardians of all virtue and armed with swords of academised theoretical justice to smite the unholy?

How interesting.... I rather thought that the human race was better served by open-ness and honesty - especially between men and women..... and by a dialogue between the sexes and not just imposition of a set of theoretical values dreamt up in some dark smoke-filled room over a few white wines or in some dark backroom at some political party where the democratic process is being suborned by yet another self-interest group ...

..... sadly though - it is the (Spanish or Swedish) Imposition that creates the term Feminazi....

OK, so shouldn't we give some wiggle room to people who are prone to using more colorful language?

No. They should evolve. A woman is not a "piece" of anything, let alone "ass".

Shouldn't the biggest determining factor be context and not the colour of the language?

It is context.

A woman is not a "piece" of anything, let alone "ass".

Would you like your daughter being referred to a a piece of ass?

As long as men are sexually attracted to women there will be language to describe that, and as long as there are variations in language there will be examples that offend 'someone'.

If two guys see a woman on a beach who happens to be a doctor and (among themselves) call her a 'fine piece of ass' I don't consider it inappropriate. (not my favorite turn of phrase tho)

In a professional context I'd consider ANY reference to her appearance above normal pleasantries highly as inappropriate.

I think situation and context is everything.

I'm certain her fiance` thinks she is - but he also values highly her independent and highly intelligent mindset installed by her parents......  and her very high principles....

It would depend on context.

What would you find more offensive.
A random truck driver leaning out the window calling you 'a fine piece of ass' or a male boss?
