No, that's not true by any interpretation.
First, the majority of people didn't vote.
Second, no candidate got a majority of those who did vote vote - currently 47.5 to 47.7%.
Third, counting has not finished - besides remaining absentee votes, there are still 650,000 votes to be counted in arizona, and
something stopping them from making 2 other states official.
Why does it matter anyway? It was always known that the electoral college was a factor. When Trump raised the possibility of it being rigged, he was assured that it was all above board - what's changed?
If there was no electoral college, Trumps campaign would have been different. He would have pandered to the big cities and forgotten those who ended up delivering him to victory. He ran the correct campaign for the circumstance.
Hilary was supposed to be the seasoned campaigner who knew the system like the back of her hand, but even with
everything on her side, she was simply outplayed.
