Oh dear!

larm bells rang when the family went swimming and Rosie’s 13-year-old commented on how hairy he was.

At a climbing centre he shimmied up ropes with ease, and at a shooting range he stripped a gun before firing it.

On a bus to college he was told to get off by a driver who didn’t believe he was 16. Rosie, who lives in the South East, said: “It’s ridiculous how everybody else could see it but not the social workers.”

While I agree that many of these "children" aren't, exactly how did his foster mum find out about the childs proficiency with a rifle? Did she happen to have an AK 47 laying around that she gave the kid to amuse himself with?

This sort of shite from the media trivialises what is a real problem. Roll Eyes

I must add..I see that his foster family took him to a shooting range....because that's where you would take a child refugee fleeing from war and violence isn't it? Roll Eyes

The Poms allow people to have semi auto rimfire rifles, we only let those who are defined as Primary Producers by the tax dept have them

It is nigh impossible to get a 'firearms license' in UK. Primary producers (farmers) are allowed a shotgun license, very few now are approved for a rifle, and you can forget a hand gun. The odd country estate in the highlands of Scotland where they farm deer have firearms licenses for rifles. The 'poms' actually have stricter gun legislation than Australia and have done for much longer.
