can anyone explain

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/william-tyrrell-nsw-government-offer-r...

why they wait so long before offering a reward..

I can only presume as we never seem to get the figures of  how many cases are solved through a reward being offered... some times its years before they offer a reward....

this case of little William is so strange...if someone came forward now........wouldnt you ask question why it took them  so long???.. this is a child.

IT’S been two years since he mysteriously vanished from his grandmother’s yard yet there’s still no clue about what happened to William Tyrrell.

Today police announced a $1 million reward in a bid to break the mystery. “That’s one million reasons why somebody that’s out there that knows what’s happened should come forward and talk to us,” Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said today.

That whole story is a bit weird!

Have you ever seen the parents?

I havent!

Are they under witness protection or something ?

There is more than meets the eye to this I suspect!

I dont know red... but to me if someone came forward now after a reward.. to help find this little boy.....I would be very suspect....yes the parents have been very quiet, maybe after what the McCanns have been through they prefer not to go there.

I dont believe the parents have ever been on TV which seems very odd.

Perhaps someone can correct me if I am wrong!

IIRC the parents are good people and in no way have set off the police guilty sensors.

I think the  $1m is so they're being seen to be doing everything they can. I just can't see any way this will end well Sad

Cods, you are the one who brought up the McCanns.

McCanns should have been charged with neglect for leaving such a young child without appropriate supervision while they partied.

The McCanns have not been cleared in this case. The McCanns have made a lot of money from this case.

They recently had a libel case overturned when a detective published they were involved. McCanns lost the appeal which means they are out of pocket on that case.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/madeliene-mccann-portuguese-detec...

Kidnapping appears to be profitable for all parties involved.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-490415/Row-McCanns-use-1million-Madelein...

Quote:
Neither has worked since Madeleine vanished on May 3, although Mr McCann is due to return to his £75,000-a-year post as a hospital consultant this week.

Mortgage repayments on the couple's £500,000 detached home in Rothley, Leicestershire, are believed to be £2,000 a month.

The Find Madeleine fund, which has received more than £1.09million in donations from all over the world, was set up primarily to fund a publicity campaign after the little girl vanished on May 3.
It also met legal fees involved in setting up the not-for-profit business, which does not have charitable status.

But the fund's directors - who include colleagues, friends and relatives of the McCanns - ruled that they cannot use it to pay the legal team defending them against Portuguese allegations that they were involved in Madeleine's disappearance.

McCann House
That has been met by a separate fund, using donations from wealthy benefactors including Sir Richard Branson.

The salary of the McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell is paid by another millionaire, double-glazing tycoon Brian Kennedy.

But the Find Madeleine fund has paid for other staff, including former campaign manager Justine McGuinness,

In the weeks after Madeleine's disappearance it paid for her parents' campaign trips to Madrid, Amsterdam, Berlin, Washington DC and the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

It was revealed last month that about £300,000 had been spent, and a further £80,000 was paid out this month for a new publicity campaign in Portugal, Spain and Morocco.

Donations have slowed dramatically, however, since the McCanns, both 39, were made official suspects in the case.

Exact details of where the money has gone will not be disclosed until the end of the financial year when the accounts are made public.

Fund officials said an administrator has been appointed to ensure "the highest standards of transparency and accountability".

Mr Mitchell said last night: "The fund exists to support Kate and Gerry where their living costs would become difficult.

"Gerry is going back to work this week and they hope they will not have to rely on it for their living costs for much longer."

The McCanns have said any surplus money from the fund would be given to charities to help families of other missing children.

Friends of the McCanns have said they are anxious to keep the fund's money for the campaign to find Madeleine.

They denied Mr McCann was returning to work for financial reasons, insisting he wanted to regain a "sense of normality".

He has been on unpaid leave and his wife, a part-time GP, has not been paid while she has been off work.

It is understood that Mr McCann will initially work three half-days a week at Leicester's Glenfields Hospital and will not have any direct contact with patients until his employers believe he is ready.
His return has been approved by the General Medical Council, which regulates the medical profession, but a senior heart specialist warned last night that it could put patients' lives at risk.

The consultant, who did not wish to be named, asked: "How will he be able to concentrate on his work with his daughter missing? It is a high-pressure job and you have to make difficult decisions.
"I can tell you from personal experience that if your mind is not totally on it, it is hard.

"If he is going to be doing procedures where you have to totally focus, the only way you can do it is compartmentalise and if you can't do it, it could be very difficult. He could break down and make a mistake."

The group Patient Concern said Mr McCann should be monitored for at least three months and the public should be able to choose not to be treated by him.

Director Roger Goss said: "It's a good idea he is allowed back, but he should be monitored to ensure he is all right.

"Patients should be allowed the option of not being treated by him while the case has such a high profile. I know it sounds discriminatory but it is not unreasonable."

Some online fora strongly suspect that 'the McCanns' and their child never existed

They suspect 'the McCanns' were never doctors

Who knows

The whole thing is dodgy

For example Sir Philip Green owner of Topshop, offered his private jet to fly the gang out

These days Sir Philip Green is known as the guy who came close to collapsing the NHS

During the many years online sleuths have been going over and over the McCann affair, many of 'the worthies' back then are disgraced paedophiles today

One thing in particularly stands out in my memory, stood out then and was much commented on -- and that's the demeanor, the actions of 'the McCanns' in the days immediately after their little daughter was supposedly snatched by person/s unknown.  People could imagine the probable fate of the child (if she ever existed)

yet there was the mother, colour coordinated and fully made-up, hair-style, earrings, the lot, photographed with 'the father' who was likewise done-up.  Photo shoots of the pair of them on rocks against the setting sun.  Photos of them emerging from the picturesque chapel and smiling like rock-stars as they made their way through the throng

Not the way it happens in real life, not even in these narcissistic, superficial times

'The father' photographed posing by a whiteboard, with Plan of Action easily read, graphs, arrows, etc. as if he was running one of those shonk 'wellness' seminars

Nothing about the story adds up
Nothing about the parents adds up
Nothing about the claimed circumstances adds up
Nothing about 'the friends' adds up
Nothing about the Portuguese questioning and police searches adds up
Nothing about the changing storyline adds up
Nothing adds up

but gee, it made a fortune for the media and for 'the McCanns' apparently

And to quell public disgust with the obvious BS, the media ran a story, complete with photos, of a woman who -- according to the media -- had spoken her mind online and was going to be dragged through court, imprisoned, etc., followed by her 'suicide' according to the media

But 'the McCanns' is a long time ago
Worldwide, the public sees through media BS these days and is quick to debunk the regular false-flags and hoaxes being run by the same gang

Next to come crashing down will be all the 'donate' scams for every imaginable natural catastrophe with the tens of millions sucked from the public somehow finding its way to the same shady pockets

The BBC was outed a year or two ago online for running some sort of lottery, after which it named the supposed winners, only for it to be revealed the 'winners' were pure fiction invented by the BBC

'The media' has said, more than once, that less than 25% of 'the news' has any basis in fact

People are becoming far less gullible and tomorrow they'll be even less so

A couple of months ago on YouTube there was a video claiming the entire William Tyrell story was fake

The case mentioned at the top of this thread about the million dollar reward on offer for information leading to the conviction of those responsible makes me wonder why the parents or brother didn't protect the allegedly murdered girl.  According to the media, she'd told her family weeks before that she was hearing noises around her house and believed someone was hanging around.  If that had been my daughter, I would have either suggested she move in with us either permanently or until we'd fully secured the house against potential intruders, etc.  As it turned out, the girls suspicions were proven correct and she was murdered on the porch, according to the media. No need for ramped up security after that, eh?  And now a million dollars out of the blue?  So many unsolved cases. Hadn't heard of this one before.  Why it's resurfaced who knows, just as it would be interesting to know why it has resurfaced along with a sizeable reward.  We were discussing exactly this over dinner last night

Breaking news:

Cods can't handle contrary opinions and has not walked in anybody's shoes.

Cods, people do make judgments based on the information they have and do have opinions contrary to yours.

There has been something 'off' about this whole thing from the very beginning.  I only hope that the poor little thing is ok.
