So was Carter in 1980, except he was ready for a remodel 'cause he was already in the White House, & for all the poll numbers, he was there to stay.....secure for 4 more years.

Carter was up against someone everyone was worried about......someone with Nationalistic Ideals......someone who wanted to make Americans proud of being American again.....someone Europe despised......someone who was a polished orator & populist....

Yeah, Carter had to deal with a loose canon lightweight....but brash, ex-Actor.......his name.....Ronnie Reagan.

That brash loose canon lightweight ex-Actor named Ronnie Reagan kicked Jimmy's ass big time......being down most of the way in the polls ended up taking, if memory serves me well, taking 49 of the 50 states in a massive landslide!
