The Govt. throws them back into society with little or no help after the soldiers have experienced severe mental & physical trauma. The rate of suicides is totally unacceptable.

There is no evidence that any of the suicide perpetrators suffered any trauma apart from occasionally not being able to get beer when they wanted.

They killed themselves because they realized they wasted their lives by enlisting in a system that thrives on hate and death and that the ADF salesmen had lied to them about glory and career.

When they're done with the cannon fodder, the ADF boots them out with no skills other than sycophancy, blind obedience, hating and killing people.

The fact that they are virtually unable to find a decent job outside these days doesn't help.

One guy I know, who was looking after one my then firearms, would not apply for Unemployment Benefit, could not find a job, and finally decided to rob a bank. He was pulled over by a cop for having different number plates front and back - got two years for planning a heist.

When he got out, my kid's mother found him a job driving for film crews.

Bloody disgrace that our current economic climate is so drear and so deadly to those who've earned their way.

Oh, yes - I lost that firearm, too - it was in the car at the time.

When I start working for the Sub-Branch and the Vets Association, I will be pushing for far better treatment for them all, men and women.
