The war of military endorsement
Sep 7th, 2016 at 7:15am

According to a poll quoted in Time, the military is the most respected institution in the US, having 73% support compared with 36 & 9 for the President and Congress.

On Tuesday Trump was endorsed by 90 retired generals etc and Clinton is currently marshalling her forces for a show of brass.

I wonder will they line them up on stage as a backdrop to future rallies, while bands play The Halls of Montezuma or even In the Mood.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

I put this in the same categorey as celebrity endorsements.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)
