About halfway between Murray and Wellington Streets on the east side of Barrack Street. Don't know what's in there now, the building is still there as far as I know.

I'll have a look on Google Earth later when I'm on the main PC (GE doesn't work on this 10 year old laptop I'm using at the moment).

I used to go to that gaming joint on the west side of the road in late 80s early 90s and timezone , took my boy to timezone at innaloo  cinemas years back and the same chinese lady from the perth one was running it , probably 20 years later . Think she actually remembered me sticking the whipper snipper wire in the machie clocking up free credits lol

I'm from Innaloo.

Used to be about 3 with in about a k of each other , Strombeckers is coming back to me but I would've been young when I went in

Correction to my last post - the Strombeckers building is gone. Replaced by apartments.

https://twitter.com/museumofperth/status/682177714703433728

That's the old SEC (State Energy Commission of WA) building behind it in Wellington St.

Been a while since I was in that part of Perth.

My old Perth is gone. Cry

Sure has , we moved to SW and ended up staying in Perth last xmas, I didn't recognise the perth I grew up in

I liked the old Crystal Palace in Murray St. near Pier St., just down a bit and across the road from Miss Mauds on the corner of Pier and Murray.

Crystal Palace was a lot like the amusement place under Strombeckers, kinda 'seedy' with lots of old pinballs and other types of machines.

Leisure and Allied Industries did a major revamp of Crystal Palace in mid 1980 and it became Perth's first Timezone amusement centre, clean, modern with an emphasis on family entertainment.

The building is still there but I think it's now occupied by Good Samaritans.

Yep. Super Bowl Osborne Park. Opened in 1980. Was moved to Warwick in 1997.

When it opened in 1980 it was a bowling centre, squash courts and roller skating rink. I think the roller skating rink was in a separate building at the back.

It was at the corner of Scarborough Beach Rd. and Sundercombe St., the building is still there but I don't know what's in it now.
