So something interesting I learnt yesterday! Seems polygyny is legal in very many Muslim states. It looks like there are many orphans that need looking after... Only it's a shame that the laws don't actually stipulate that as a requirement: the only requirement being that the husband can equally provide for all his wives, or in some cases that the man must show his woman isn't good at offering sex or cooking eggs for breakfast.

Karnal - how can we blame the west for all this? I feel we need to punch Robert Fisk in the face Wink

Oh, I know. I'm not sure why you feel compelled to ban polygamy in other countries though. If you're aspiring to liberalism, this is about permitting things, as long as they don't hurt anyone else.
