I heard about Rio getting the Olympics several years ago. I thought, "Is that a good place to be holding an Olympics?". Then, I figured that it might not be too bad, come 2016. The media has been very quiet with Brazil and the conditions in the last few years. Surely, a country that does not have a reputation for violence would have had a better chance of winning the Olympic host bid.

The Olympic torch went out a few times during our Olympics. The worst to come of it was that out tower failed to go up the ramp. I'm waiting for the lighting of the flame in Rio to see the stadium start to burn down.

more individuals getting robbed of cash and viza's..

an entire bus hijacked and robbed near the airport..

filthy pool.. athletes want train in it.. water murky..

no water on the canoeing course .. can't get the pumps going..

.................

and hardly a word about all of this in the main stream press...

athletes also telling family to stay home as its too dangerous..

no money to spend on opening ceremony...
1/20th of a budget from the last Olympics..

no big deal there mind you.. the OC is over rated..
