Shariah law is the opposite of vigilantism John. What you describe is in no way evidence of what Muslims want. I bet in that entire 30 year period you never asked any of them whether they want shariah law, yet you are more than happy to speak on behalf of all of them. That's kind of bigoted don't you think?
Not quite FD. I'm not speaking on their behalf. I'm speaking on my behalf. Based on my experience. I would have thought that if any of them were proponents of Sharia law I would have heard something.
Ah, so I was right. You now claim to know what they think, despite never having asked them and not having a clue how Islamic beliefs might influence people's actions.
Quote:really? you want to use old age? Grin Grin Grin You mention wars, but wars being fought over oil are a fairly new concept FD. Many wars for the last 2000 years were fought over because of religious belief.
Most wars throughout history were faught between people of the same religion, or nothing to do with religion. The expansion of the Islmaic Caliphate is a notable exception.
Quote: Quote:In other words, you read an aweful into what they think based on what you do not observe them doing.
huh?
You claim to know what Muslims think based on not seing them do things and not hearing them say things. You are a willfully ignorant apologist. You don't ask them because you don't want to hear the answer. You know deep down that you are wrong, but you want to maintain plausible deniability when you tell everyone what Muslims think - speaking of course on your own behalf, not theirs.
