The New York Times is carrying an article by David Reiff called the Long War on Terror. It is essentially a restating of the standard liberal response to ugly atrocities in that it does not say Muzlim once. Its all nice and tidy under such terminologies as lone wolf and ISIS.

In the usual effort to be fair to everyone, Reiff uses all the objectivity he can, except that he is almost deaf to the concerns of those who want to defend themselves. To him, they are merely xenophobes. He is all very intellectual about it, but fails to see that it is precisely this view that divides the West; not the rejection of Muzlim immigration.

In conclusion Reiff claims, that we have to accept increasing numbers of atrocities in public places to maintain what he calls “our humanity.” Reiff's attitude is beginning to spread in the liberal media,  which equates to the appeasement of Islam on an institutional level. There are a lot of people who will accept it, but if this is allowed to go national, we and the USA are in deeper do-do than might seem obvious. Ali Akbah!
