And theres the thing. Many claim that most Muslims are "moderate", yet the most violent attacks are coming from the so called moderate Muslims.

Well Rhino  ( Big Flappy Ears )  Smiley  that is indeed the problem.

Except neither have evolved, at the core.

And ignoring the past does indeed lead to a repeat. Cool

The big problem is, we gave them money by buying their oil. All that did was allow them to escalate their primitive tribal wars by buying bigger and better weapons. Its like giving a top of the range ipad to a 5 year old. The truth is, our culture is more evolved and we need to treat them like irresponsible children.

My point IS... we have no claim to some sort of moral superiority.
We are the same as them. We cannot claim innocent victimhood.

We are ALL responsible for where we find ourselves today.

I am astonished and horrified that celebs are saying ..'they are afraid', here in Oz. They are saying we are all afraid ...  Ridiculous.. these media types just increase the BS hype.  I am NOT afraid of terrorist attack. Ludicrous,, and all the blah blah about how afraid these people feel is JUST FODDER for the other sides  cause. Stop feeding hysteria and fear......  Grow up and realise ,  no-one is ever SAFE...

How pathetic. Even Waleed disgusted me when he agreed about the fear being realistic. NO .. stop the bs propaganda. .

it depends on what you believe is SAFE......many years ago it was SAFE for a women or child to walk the streets of this country........we have long since lost that  innocence......if my grandson is 5 minutes late coming home from school I start to worry......would I let them go to the beach unsupervised???... no I wouldnt.. yesteryear  it was the norm.....

so far I havent seen blood on my streets.by people who apparently hate our guts.because we are  not  Muslim...

must I really see that before I feel FEAR????....

yes I do feel fear fear for my grandkids.. who may very well get to see things happen in their country that have  never been seen before....

I know at least that all the children of terrorist grow up thinking a bloody death is normal......in fact its something to glorify ...

so far emma you are lucky to live in a country where you have no fear of going to a concert or a nightclub with the thought you could be blown to kingdom come...by your everyday normal terrorist...

lets hope that doesnt change anytime soon...

Indeed Cods. Thanks for your reply.

I just wish people could understand... life isn't SAFE.  Never has been.
These people are only now starting to realise that they have no guarantee of safety. I find that perplexing. That they ever were so complacent in the first place. Guess they have had an easy life and never considered outcomes..

I have never taken safety for granted, hence I have no increased fear over recent happenings overseas. We have had a golden period of time, here in OZ.  But it was never going to stay that way. There has never been any golden guarantee, regardless of your view of the past. People still got murdered.

Our isolation here in Oz no longer garners any idea of safety.
To expect safety is just a symptom of living in an unreal consumer-based society, where money answers all ills. NOW  reality bites.

This is the world today. Personally I don't go to ANY mass human events. Not my thing. I understand that people are social animals... so.  why fear ??

I suspect..?  the actions of recent liberal governments have seriously increased the likelihood of repercussions.  We do the deed, we have to expect results , not necessarily favourable to our ultimate security. |||||  Afraid\\\\\\\\\\//???

Blame Howard, if you need to blame anyone.

hi numb nuts.
I dont live in fear that i will be killed in a motor vehicle accident either.
But that doesnt mean i refuse to support the police in having random breath stops to check for drink drivers.

tell me numb nuts, when the  police pull you up for a random breath test, do you tell them to stop fear mongering?
do you tell them they are just being alcohol-o-phobics.

That is a poor analogy.  It has no bearing on these circumstances.  Hey apparently,  THE POLICE  did stop him, and let him go, believing his story about delivering  Ice-Cream.  Cheesy
Not very effective eh?

Hey numb nuts, whats with the smiling emoticon.
Would you like to go to the Nice ICU and laugh at some of the dying children.
Tell them how funny you think it is?
Tell their parents not to be so fearful?
Tell them its all the fault of the police?
