understand ethics & also ideas about evidence.

I read somewhere that you can't prove anything for certain except that you exist

Agh, yeas, another who expects people to abide by the Law and yet when it suits their purpose, out the window the Law goes and he does what he wants.

Convenient, innit?

The hypocrisy is quite astounding.

That's something I would have expected from Herbert.

Actually, who am I kidding? That quote could have come from any one of the right wing nut jobs in this forum.

I see no grey dots. As I have said before, so NO  the grey dots aren't there.  OK Booby?

AS WE HEAR MORE, IT BECOMES DOUBTFUL THAT HE
( THE KILLER) WAS AT ALL RELIGIOUS.

IS  have just claimed this lone wolf as their own to get a bit of a free ride.
Howling hordes be calm.... simmer down now... this is the new world.

You want TWO Warrior RELIGIONS to live together.
Not going to happen ever.

BOTH CHRISTIANITY and ISLAM are equally responsible for the world we live in TODAY.

Someone posted IMAGINE  by John Lennon earlier.

Oh  IMAGINE if only the worlds religions consisted of Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, Shinto, Animists, hmm having trouble thinking of any western ones.. Huh Druids? Shamanism? Wicca?

None of these religions require soldiers to proselytise ,, to spread the word, by force of arms.

So the two dominant religions are warlike institutions which insist on world dominance.  ONLY THEIR GOD WILL DO. !!!
As THIS is the case, in fact, this world will never see peace.

As long as Christians, and Muslims hold their faith, the world's people will continue warring with themselves, willing or not.!

The slaughter and rapine will continue in the name of GOD.

If you really think about it.... ALL THE ILLS WHICH AFFLICT US NOW, are easily lain at the feet of the righteous,.

So hope.??  Nope. I can see not positive outcomes for this global society, in this context.

BAN CHRISTIANS and MUSLIMS from any office of power. Even that wouldn't work.
SORRY  my only suggestion..?

Don't have one. Sadi

Looks like our lone nutter had a few mates to help him out.
I wonder, per chance, were they Muzlims?

Meanwhile, French authorities released new details to local media of the last moments before the attack, suggesting Bouhlel might had accomplices. The attacker, they said, had sent a text message to someone - believed to be among those currently held for questioning - saying, "Bring more weapons."

Sorry to jump at the 18th page without following any of the discussion, but...

Is there anything besides his name and (presumably) ethnic background which links this attack in any way to Islam?

Serious question - as I haven't seen any reports of him doing stuff like pledging loyalty to ISIS/Islamic jihadists, releasing any sort of message about fighting for Islam, meetings with radical sheikhs, Islamist propaganda on his phone/laptop etc etc...

Admittedly I haven't been following this closely, but has there been anything at all?

Outlawing the enemy's uniform - hijab, islamic beard - is not depriving one's own people of their freedoms.

yes, it has been announced he recently started attending mosque and was asking to procure weaponry from other jihadists. ISIS target these angry dysfunctional types (see the lindt bomber or the kiddie who shot curtis ). Bin Laden seems to have prefered guys who had their act together and were not damaged goods. expect ISIS to go after damaged goods and use them increasingly as this is the only way ISIS can stay relevant as they lose territory.

Nothing whatsoever except the usual 'reports' of 'Allah Excalibar' when he was having his merry way.  Never attended the Mosque, drank grog and ate pork according to his neighbours....but that could all have been a cunning plan born of Taqiyya.

Sneaky tinted fella.
