I was attempting a little humour, but apparently you haven't yet assimilated sufficiently into Western culture to realise that that was my only intention.

One of the hazards of working with people of foreign background is the matter of assuming that your sense of humour will be universally accepted by all.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

For many years I worked almost exclusively with ethnic immigrants from various parts of the world, and the one thing you learn very quickly is that with all Third World cultures the people take themselves very seriously indeed, and the slightest hint of being taken the piss of will make them very resentful.

Asian 'face' must be preserved at all costs.

Deprecating humour of the good-natured teasing type is totally alien to their way of thinking, with meanwhile it is a staple throughout the English-speaking countries.

I lived in Shanghai and Honk Kong for a total of around 6 years as a boy, and I don't like people using the terms 'slope' and 'chink' which I find is unnecessarily abusive and gratuitous.

As for looks, I could be taken for Greek, Lebanese, Turkish - and even a certain type of ethnic Indian.

Us wogs have got to stick together, Dustwun, and keep practicing our Kickboxing against the time when it might come useful when we are helping to empty out the mosques during the coming civil wars. Cool

Ummmm he got back in the truck? Talk about thick! The very least you could do would be to learn how to read, wot?

But of course they're all suspect, and that's for the very sensible reason that they all subscribe to the same religious blueprint - the Koran.

Just because most Muslims are not activists doesn't mean they don't sympathise with the jihadists who plot to kill Westerners.

It says something that leading figures of Islam are unable to cite ISIS members as heretics to Islam - and this is because what they're doing is sanctioned by passages in the same 'Holy Writings' as they themselves subscribe to.

Every corner store 'decent' Muslim shop-owner and his wife has the potential to raise a mass-murdering jihadi Warrior for Islam.
