My daughter has just emailed me from Southern France to say she wasn't in Nice at the time of this attack and that she's okay. I had contacted the British Foreign Office who got in touch with her.

I've been worried all day, but I am now so relieved.

I am glad for you....how those who are receiving the worst kind of news are doing I dread to think..the ripple affect from these attacks goes on for ever doesnt it>>,,,I am sure it will be a long time before you get the feeling you have had before your daughter got in touch.....and your ended well..

If it was up to me I would have his taxi licence revoked so he has to pull a rickshaw to earn a living.

That's really great news.  You must have been terribly worried.

With so many worms out of the can already?

What about them?

What about them?  If their motivation is neutralised (Arabia is for Arabs) there goes the problem.

The Boston bombers were Chechens, when did the USA attack the Chechens Arsie?

Are the Chechens Arabs?

Is the Blonde haired blue eyed Jihad Jane who is in jail on terror charges an Arab?

Apart from racist buzzwords have you really thought about what the cause is or do you blame Arabs when this Nice attacker was from Africa.

Stick to driving taxis Arsie you are not qualified for anything else.

Is he also ok with the Tamales being booted out of Sri Lanka?  The rohingya out of Myanmar?  The Hmong out of VN Nth highlands?

Good points all. In that same vein, we have to ask ourselves what the thousands of mostly young men and women who leave their home countries all over the globe to join ISIS have in common -- are they all Arabs, did they all come from countries that were bombed by the United States, or pray tell, might they have -- umm -- something else in common?

Certainly the 9/11 attacks weren't in direct response to any U.S. bombing campaign. Nor was bin Laden the poster boy for the typical leftist excuse about terrorists being hardened by an impoverished, hopeless existence. No, it's about radical ideology, not lack of economic opportunity.

Just a few of the inconvenient truths that surround the kind of terrorism that's currently plaguing Western civilization.

Of course, some of us have already figured out the "root cause" -- particularly conservative commentator Ann Coulter:
http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2016/06/29/ann-coulter-hidden-fact-predi...

Quote:
After the July 7, 2005, London subway bombing by Muslim terrorists that killed 52 people, the British MI5 undertook its own highly sophisticated study, examining hundreds of cases. But the UK’s security agency discovered that terrorists are a wildly diverse lot. They worshipped at a variety of different mosques, for example.

Some terrorists were very religious Muslims and some barely practicing. Most were men, but some were women. There were young and old terrorists, highly educated as well as uneducated, some loners and some married with children.

So, according to MI5, the predictive power of every factor is very low — other than: Is a Muslim.

Indeed, the World has dramatically changed since then.  Are you seriously contending that change has been for the better?

Seriously?

Why does it matter whether one person thinks it is better or worse?  The bottom line is that the world has changed.

It's actually not a bad job, Aussie. You could start up a franchise up there on the Gold Coast with several of you taking tourists for little tours around the place in the holiday season.

Penguins was it?

Must have been penguins.  That's why the Arabs blew up the South Pole.

Here's how to make a new friend out of an Al Qaeda terrorist, as explained by Osama bin Laden in 2002. It's really very simple -- just follow his instructions and avoid offending his people by making mistakes like these again:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2002/nov/24/theobserver

Quote:
What are we calling you to, and what do we want from you?

(1) The first thing that we are calling you to is Islam ... It is the religion of showing kindness to others, establishing justice between them, granting them their rights, and defending the oppressed and the persecuted. It is the religion of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil with the hand, tongue and heart.

Dang, if only we'd realized back then how easy it was to get along with Muslim terrorists. All we have to do is convert to Islam!

Then there's this:

Quote:
(2) The second thing we call you to, is to stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you.

(a) We call you to be a people of manners, principles, honour, and purity; to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling's, and trading with interest.

You heard Osama: It's time to start throwing gays off rooftops and stoning adulterous women ... in the name of  "the religion of showing kindness to others."

And no more of that "trading with interest" crap!

Who's with me?

Yes the Daily Mail. That's what we need now.

Take your smug snobbish lefty BS elsewhere. People are looking for information and the mail happens to have some. WTF!

I'll wait for less inflammatory sources.

I'm watching ABC news breakfast at the moment.

They stull haven't called it.

A more apologetic source?

You have a better source? BBC aren't calling it. How come you are?

I know you're begging and praying that it's not your chosen ones. The perp has not been identified yet but it's pretty safe to assume how this will play out.

Local politician Christian Estrosi said the truck was loaded with arms and grenades.

However it plays out, you made the claim that IS had taken responsibility.

That was a lie.

Why lie, Gordy?

This made me sad all day.  Cry

Check this out:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/who-mohamed-lahouaiej-bouhlel-what-84256...

Quote:
The name of the suspect has now been identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel.

His ID card found in the truck shows he is a 31-year-old French man of Tunisian descent.

He was known to police in connection with common law crimes such as theft and violence.

Investigating sources said his last appearance in court was as recently as March, when he was found guilty of violent conduct.

As reported by Nice Matin, he worked as a delivery driver.

So the terrorist's first name was Mohamed.

Gosh, what are the odds?

What a bastard!  Gee, the West never rejects immoral acts of fornication (Australia 1975) homosexuality (there was the death penalty in Australia up to 1949) intoxicants (we are as I type controlling that) gamblings (we have just had an Election and it seems those who will hold the balance of power where it counts - in The Senate - also want to 'reject' it with restrictions) trading with interest.  (We also control that...and if my memory from Sunday School is still working......didn't some son of a Virgin get all hairy chested about usury in some joint or other?)

Cool

As I have already said ~ amateur hour.  What else explains being a tool and carrying genuine ID on you when you murder people.

Ergo ~ was it genuine?
