Good points all. In that same vein, we have to ask ourselves what the thousands of mostly young men and women who leave their home countries all over the globe to join ISIS have in common -- are they all Arabs, did they all come from countries that were bombed by the United States, or pray tell, might they have -- umm -- something else in common?
Certainly the 9/11 attacks weren't in direct response to any U.S. bombing campaign. Nor was bin Laden the poster boy for the typical leftist excuse about terrorists being hardened by an impoverished, hopeless existence. No, it's about radical ideology, not lack of economic opportunity.
Just a few of the inconvenient truths that surround the kind of terrorism that's currently plaguing Western civilization.
