In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

I wonder who will succeed Cameron?

As for the UK becoming "great" again, I think Mechanic will find it needs a great deal more than merely the exit from a voluntary union with the rest of Europe to make Britain "Great" again...   Roll Eyes

David Cameron...the damp squib Great Britain didn't need to have. He's just said he's going...missing you already.

Great Britain has just escaped by the skin of their teeth having foreign committees telling their Armed Forces and Police what to do.

Britain has just made perhaps one of the most momentous decisions in their long history and it is the right one.

The world seems headed for a Big Brother United Nations type of rulership.

The thought of the United Nations running the world is too scary to contemplate. The U.N. couldn't run a brothel successfully..the mob who stands idly by whilst genocides are carried out.

Every Country should look to its own Governorship. Big Brother is out there and growing stronger by the day. Great Britain just gave it an almighty punch in the face.

True they did.  Why?  Because the member states didn't tell them they had to stop the Genocides.  Don't blame the UN, blame the member states.

Then of course, you have to sort out which part of the UN you're blaming.  You are aware that it's made up of separate, independent parts?  You have the (essentially) powerless General Assembly which can pass non-binding resolutions on member states.   You have the all powerful Security Council, in which the main members have vetos which mean they can ignore any resolutions they don't want passed.   Then you have the powerless secretariat.  Finally, you have the powerless functionary section.

None of them, BTW have any military forces of their own.  So, tell us, Red, how were they going to stop the Genocides which member states were committing against their own populations?    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

If there is a market, I'd put money on him.   He was a Leader of Brexit so he can credibly deal with the EU on that matter.  He is well credentialed, a true politician.  No greenhorn.  I don't 'like' him as he is too fond of playing dumb.  That he wafts around/rides a bicycle with that dumbarse mop on his head is contrived.

But.....he is a Leader, no doubt about that.
