The ABC once again representing a broad spectrum of the community.

Like hell.

"Australian journalist Emma Channon has been living and working in the UK for 18 months.

She voted — and also voted on behalf of her brother, who lived in London a few years ago and was able to vote by proxy — to remain.

It's VERY wrong that these people were allowed to vote. Totally absurd. "Had lived in London a few years ago" - fercrissake.

"When I woke up to the news I was in complete shock. I just didn't think it would be this result," she said.

"Then I got really angry — I surprised myself — because I think a lot of people have been naive in their Leave decision."

Ms Channon said she felt the result had been based on "immigration and fear".

Wrong again. It was 'fear' that motivated the STAY vote, and to their credit there were enough Britishers with guts enough not to succumb to this 'fear'.

That would be my take on it.
globalisation is sort of like working for the public service.
big organisation, allows you to just be a scrub and live in a Durrr state.

Now you have to stand on your own 2 feet.

This is a GOOD thing.

If, for example , our aboriginal communities were to Brexit, what would be the consequences?

Currently, on welfare from do-gooders, they are so "numbed down" they all drink, sniff glue or petrol...these are people who are SO LOW in consciousness, that they dont want to feel ANYTHING.

organise a Brexit and they would suddenly "WAKE UP".
they would be alert and re unite with nature. They would be tracking a roo thru the bush, in a state of extreme alertness and presence. the durr state would be gone, replaced with great mindfulness and alertness.
And mindfulness and alertness are the key to happiness.

Its not what you HAVE, its what you ARE.

become awake, alert and resilient.  it doesnt matter what you "have" from the EU if its just more "stuff"

As a Leave voter, I'm still on a high after the Great Victory.

This is the greatest thing to have happened to Britain since 1945.

I agree (and I'm not even a voter there).

Congratulations on such a great victory!

Test them against any Social justice based news story or event.  They are ironclad.

Here's a graphic reminder of where the real divide is between the Brexit native Brits and the immigrant unassimilables.

The British are tired of these people forming ghettoes in their homeland cities, towns, and villages, with meanwhile these alien newcomers with their foreign loyalties are fearful that without the political correctness protection of continental ethnic Europe - their continuing colonisation and Islamisation of Britain might be in jeopardy.

"British Muslims living in London's most diverse borough worry life will get worse for them in a post-Brexit reality".

It's obvious you're talking out of your arse, Acquascoot.  You don't know many Indigenous Australians, do you?   Most hold down jobs, have families and live in urban Australia, quite happily.  Few if any drink (heavlly), "sniff glue or petrol".   Stop being so insulting, please.  It's demeaning you and your fellow Australians.   Stop watching commercial TV...   Roll Eyes

Correct.  46% hold down jobs.  9% are unemployed.  44% don't count.

BTW, your numbers add up to more than 100%, Honky.  Roll Eyes

You're confused as all hell.

46.2% is less than half, so it is incorrect to say "most".  This is not one of those occasions where you can claim "your opinion is equally valid" - you are objectively wrong.

Also 46.2 + 9.6 + 44.1 = 99.9.  99.9 is not more than 100.

sure the ones who are 1/16 aboriginal and identify as aboriginal to get the benefits of the "closing the gap " initiative may hold down jobs and live in the city.
They could probably hold down jobs as polar bears at seaworld..most of them are so white.
But i dont think youve been to halls creek, alice springs, the snake pit at mt isa or wurrabinda.

Opal is a variety of low-aromatic 91 RON petrol developed in 2005 by BP Australia to combat the rising use of petrol as an inhalant in remote Indigenous Australian communities.[1]

Though more expensive to produce, requiring a $0.33/litre Federal subsidy, a 2006 report found it would likely save at least $27 million per year when the social and health costs of petrol-sniffing were taken into account.[2]

46+9+44=99

.1+.2+.6=.9

99+.9=99.9

How much glue have you been sniffing?

Then you have to wonder what all this closing the gap shlt is? The abo's live just like the rest of us, but they are left behind at the same time. Nonsense.
