1. Mass resignations

2. No exit plan was sorted by anyone.

Result?  Utter chaos.

Oh what a tangled web weave....

Exactly what you would have expected given the gravity of the moment... Under the covers is a self-serving narcissist and serial liar ready to exploit the situation for destructive gain.

Boris Johnson...

If countries get the politicians they deserve, the possibility of a Johnson premiership suggests that the British are now a nation of charlatans. No one who has studied him thinks he is telling the truth when he says he believes that it is in our best interests to leave the European Union. The reason why he must deceive reveals Johnson’s low character as clearly as his casual mendacity. As he may be ruling over you soon, you had better understand how low he can go.

[...]

He went on to Oxford, where in 1986 he became president of the Oxford Union. In a taste of what was to come, after losing as a Tory, he won on his second attempt by pretending he opposed the policies he had previously endorsed. He was as big a success as Brussels correspondent of the Telegraph, where he exhibited the vices of the worst columnists by confirming rather than challenging his readers’ prejudices.

[...]

Only two institutions have seen through him: the Times, which sacked Johnson for making up quotes; and parliament, where he vanished without trace because he had no arguments to prosecute and no cause to champion beyond the cause of his own self-advancement.

[...]

As late as February, Johnson was saying that leaving would embroil “the government for several years in a fiddly process of negotiating new arrangements, so diverting energy from the real problems of this country”.

That's very true. Europeans may be culturally diverse in many ways but they seem generally united in their contempt for the English... It's hard for Europeans to like a people whose native white trash routinely trash European cities.

Grin Grin Grin

In my own lifetime Germany did a bit of 'trashing' themselves. It was more than outdoor cafe furniture that got hurled around and broken.

And then again in my own lifetime the Brits had to 'persuade' the Vichy French government to release its Navy Fleet to the allies before the Germans got hold of it.

And in my own lifetime the Italians were armed-and-dangerous for being an ally of a genocidal regime.

And in my own lifetime the Dutch police helped round up Jews to be sent to Concentration Camps.

And in my own lifetime the Hungarians, Rumanians, and Bulgarians were an enthusiastic ally of Germany's World Domination genocidal regime.

And in my own lifetime Greece was pro-Hitler until Italy threatened to invade them in 1941.

Sweden decided not to help the allies defeat Hitler.

Russia partnered Hitler in defeating Poland.

Now what was that about all these morally-upright Europeans and their loathing of the British because of a few chairs being thrown around?

Does someone stand in the polling boot and make you put a mark on the Ballot Paper?  YES/NO

Does someone make you accept a ballot paper when your name is marked off the Electoral Roll, upon entry to the Polling Station?   YES/NO

So, Belgarion, how do they make it compulsory for you to vote?  Mmmm?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Oh Brian, you should have accepted defeat with dignity, but like the progressive bigots you so admire, you cannot admit when you have it wrong.  In fact one is required to accept a ballot paper when entering the polling place and one must place it in the box.  And while there is no one in the booth to actually watch you mark the paper the law is still applicable, if not practically enforceable. You are very keen on quoting the law when it suits your purposes, so why not now?

Not only have you got this wrong, you have called Herbie a liar. I think an apology may be in order.

Brian Ross wrote on Jun 26th, 2016 at 3:49pm:
Needless to say, it is not compulsory to vote.  All that is required is for potential voters to have their names marked off the electoral rolls, nothing more.

No matter how you paint it, Herbert, it is a lie to claim otherwise.  And we all know you're not a liar, now are you, Herbie?  Mmmm?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Only the Greeks.

You ethnics and your chip-on-the-shoulder about the Brits. Haven't the British taxpayers just been helping to bail your national arse out of the latrine that your f'wit Greek politicians let you fall into? Show some gratitude, please.

Nationalism is on the rise.
And why not.
Its in our DNA.
30 or 40 years of "pretending" its not has come to an end.

Family and friends are our main circle of concern
Then our country men.

Those in other countries , not so much.
Has the fact that most of the nations on earth are armed to the teeth been lost on these delusional leftards. Wink.

We are about to spend 50 billion on subs for gawds sake and we dont even have any viable threat.

All the good you create will be destroyed unless you defend it.
We know this, at our core .
Leftards are in such lower consciousness, such low vibration energy, they dont even seem to be aware of reality anymore.
Thankfully the good people of "real" britain see the need for strong patriotism and a strong nationalism .
The east asian countries, where people meditate and think more deeply on such issues have always been strongly patriotic and nationalistic.
They understand reality because they dont live in a haze of leftard media driven drivel.
Rule Britannia  Wink

What would you prefer?

I've just served you up on a plate for believing the Brits should go into a cultural cringe because of what some Europeans might think of a few British hooligans scrapping with the locals.

You can't be serious.

Your arse is safe today not because of the French, the Germans, the Italians, the Swedes, the Rumanians, the Bulgarians, the Hungarians, the Russians, the Croats, the Slovaks, and the Finns ...

Get a grip, man.

British soccer hooligans trumps all of that in your Anglophobic hate-filled mind, you poor wretch.

If you're talking about WW2 (again, of course), wasn't it you lot who abandoned us to our fate with the Japanese? Who refused to allow Australian troops home to fight the Japanese?

If it wasn't for the US (the first country to throw you lot out) we'd have suffered more than we did.

No, I've been talking about your lame-arsed attempt to paint the Europeans as being in a position to wag a scolding finger at the British nation for some rowdy soccer hooligans while the skeletons in their own cupboards are a charnel pit of murdered millions by comparison.

Of course, English white trash don't differentiate between ex Axis nations and others... They're just as happy to trash Brussels as Berlin.

No, I'm saying that while you're all security council is serious stuff! There are no allies. Serious, serious, serious!, at the same time you're arguing that others deserve their go, like its a ride at a kids play ground Roll Eyes.

Of course the security council is serious! That's why the USA would never push to have a nation like the UK who they have worked closely with in security matters for over 70 years with a nation like Brazil. It makes no sense, and you haven't made any arguments other than the UK is irrelevant without Scotland, and Brazil deserve a go.

All 5 permanent members support India's membership of the security council as a permanent member because they accept that India is significant enough to effect a contribution to world peace and security, so no one is suggesting it is a playground... Their view is driven by reality not nostalgia or sentimentality.

China's only apparent caveat is that India not support Japan in any bid to become a permanent member.

For fks sake. What's this sentimentality crap you keep going on about? The U.K. And the USA work unbelievably close on military matters... today! You can't be this bloody ignorant of world affairs to not see the close relationship that have on security matters. So why the hell would they push off thier closest ally to replace them with someone China is happy with? It's idiotic and no one but you is suggesting such a thing.

You clearly have a problem with the English. You have made that clear as day on the last page. In your eye they are nothing but white trash soccer hooligans who are an embarrassment to the western world. Fortunately not everyone holds such an ignorant view.
