It explains some of Muhammed's problem with Christianity. He saw Jesus as a prophet, but Christianity as a misguided religion based on an illusory trinity.

Just goes to show what happens when a semi-literate know-nothing wants to channel god.

He comes up with a destructive, shark-like ideology. Islamic theology is the worst kind of semi-comprehended mish mash declared as god's word. Laughable nonsense.

Glad you used that expression.  Where can I find "His" word in the Bible?  Old Testament or New?

Everywhere. It's just not presented as one semi-literate brute's self-aggrandising, self-promoting rant. There is a variety of voices and there is, as importantly, a long history of exegesis that has not locked anyone into one madman's idea of what god is or should be.

I know it's all to nuanced for you, old roast chicken, but then the world is a lot more nuanced on every other level and you don't comprehend them either.

So....then when God said the poofs had to be slain, that's it.  That's His word, and no later mere man has capacity to water it down, yeas?

There is no 'trinity'

Really, Yadda?

That is not what all Christian churches maintain....

Brian,

It is as well then, that i am not all Christian churches, otherwise i would be a very confused person, wouldn't i !

Which, according to Moses, makes you a non-Christian, Yadda.    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Oh dear!

Does that mean that the Pope will bar me from getting past the pearly gates !!!

Oh gosh, oh dear !!

'Oh oh! I'm in trouble!'

.....or maybe not.

Matthew 7:14
....strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

I can see you missed school after that lesson.  No surprise - you evidently missed a lot of school.

That's a tad harsh Elde Fruit.  Is there anything in the OT you reckon is NOT the word of God?  If so, which are they?

Every thing written in the O. T. was spoken by men and women.

The Ten Commandments, for example?

God is a spirit who works through man (I think it says that God is a spirit about 43 times in the Bible)

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

Now now, Aussie, you listen to Moses. He’s saying that the laws of Moses were rescinded for all time. Instead, God lives in us, and expresses Himself through our love for all.

Except the Muselman. In his case, we need to rediscover the OT.

Hate them. Kill them. Confiscate their foreskins.

God only wants us to love Christians. Muslims - and their apologists - must be despised.

Yes, I know that will be his default position.  I just want to know how he explains away the fact that, according to the OT, Moses came down from the mountain carrying stone tablets into which God himself had carved his words.........His words, not those of the man, Moses.......oh.....the other Moses, if you get my drift.
