I am pro- baby-feeding in expensive restaurants
Jun 11th, 2016 at 1:35pm

I wouldn't DREAM of saying to a friend ...  "I wouldn't mind a bit of that" as I passed by the table where a young mother was breast-feeding her baby.

I'm all for mothers breast-feeding their babies in expensive restaurants where half your massive bill will actually be for the swanky ambience of the place.

Reason?

The mother's nipple acts as a plug against NOISE issuing from the baby's mouth, driven by the sort of lungs that only aging glass-blowers can match.

Un-plug the bub's mouth and the wailing starts ...

Strange how some people would oppose it.

Eating the decaying flesh from a animal carcass is perfectly fine, yet a mother doing the most natural thing in the world gets them all worked up

Weird.

Wouldn't breast milk taste the same in Macdonalds?

Sitting among the bogans while popping a bag of 'French Fries' (chips) into your mouth while a baby is draining his mother at the next table is one thing -- but you don't expect this when the bill is around $50 per average meal.

Babies shouldn't be within a bull's roar of an expensive restaurant where the ambience is half the cost of the gourmet experience.

Babies belong at home - and NOT stuck on the end of someone's ample tit in an expensive restaurant.

Intimate, private practices belong at home, although I will allow for breast-feeding in parks and such.

Just wait 'til Nicole, Lisa, Black Orchid, Mothra, and codsey-baby arrive. That's when the tit will hit the fan.  Grin

Nice bait, Herbert. I'll oblige since you've gone to all this trouble  Cool

Now is your issue with breast feeding as such, because the woman gets her tit out, or is it with the noise babies make because they cry, or is it both?

Cheers,
Jack Doolan

What kept you? I pressed the buzzer for you quite some time ago.

I want to know if others agree with letting women breast feed in restaurants or not. I personally don't mind as long as it is done discretely (discreetly) and the baby MAKES NO NOISE.

(Sorry for shouting, but I'm sick of arseholes talking loudly on their mobile phones in the restaurant I go to, and noisy, undisciplined pre-teens with bogan mothers, and blokes acting 'blokey' with their mates by semi-shouting every word that comes out of their mouth, and ...  )

Discreetly and with no noise? We appear to agree then.

You need to change bait. May I humbly suggest cockles instead of worms?

Cheers,
Kiwi dave.

I always chose the wrong 'discreet' or 'discrete'. Thanks for the heads-up.

Choose / chose ... loose/ lose ... plays hell with my dyslexia.
