I note some comments are "a  little sceptical and with reason!

It is very unlikely that All incumbents would be voted out, particularly given the decades of being fed on being reliant on the current 2 party system.

That said, if a sufficient portion of incumbents, particularly from the major Party's, were to be sacked, then it would cause a rethink process to start and we desperately need that new start, because the old system is clearly now outdated!

WE NEED TO PUT ON THE PRESSURE, FOR A NEW START, WITH NEW GOALS & THE MAJOR GOALS MUST BE
WHAT'S IN THE BEST, LONG TERM INTERESTS OF THE WHOLE POPULATION
, NOT WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE FEW, IN THE SHORT TERM!!!

If you took both Shorten and Turnbull out of the equation and voted solely
on policies, Labor, although by no means perfect, should be a shoo-in.

Labour are opposing the company tax cuts and then want to escalate the dumber than dumb child care subsidy.

In reality they should be flogged, burnt and pissed on from a great height.

Just a word of caution!

There are those, such as Politicians, CB's, Bankers in general & TPTB, who may well have greater access to relevant Economic information those many, if not most others.

However, they seldom pass on that information, unless it is possibly of benefit to them!

For example, when do they advertise "tough times ahead"?

How many of them, said the 2007 GFC was coming?

How many have relayed the truth about why the GFC arrived, about why it hasn't really ended & how many have provided the full truth about Demographics & Energy and how these factors really influence the local& Global Economy?

There are "conflicts of interest" involved and anyone looking at "their own, best, long term interests", should do their own research, separate of those whose interests may be conflicted with our own.

WE NEED TO COME TO OUR OWN CONCLUSIONS & DO WHAT IS IN OUR OWN, LONG TERM, BEST INTERESTS!

Given the current status of our Politicians -
I WOULD SUGGEST THAT IT WOULD BE IN OUR BEST, LONG TERM INTEREST TO VOTE OUT EVERY INCUMBENT & SEND THE POLITICAL ESTABLISHMENT A MESSAGE THEY CAN NOT IGNORE!

WE, THE WHOLE PUBLIC WANT THEM TO DO, WHAT IS IN OUR BEST, LONG TERM INTERESTS, NOT DO WHAT IS IN THEIR (the Politicians & their "Mates" & TPTB) BEST, SHORT TERM INTEREST!

SEND OUR MESSAGE & SEND IT THIS ELECTION!!!

VOTE OUT THE INCUMBENTS!!!

The real problem is that we have allowed the government to be hijacked by a pack of parasites thats main concern is convincing us all that we need more of them, we should have never let the hydra that is government escape from its box, now its tentacles have reached into every facet of our lives like a cancer and no amount of chemo will ever get rid of it.

Having Government is like having the kardashians, everyone is left scratching their heads and wondering so why do we need these people again?, just like the Kardashians the government is famous for being famous, it really serves no other purpose, it has created a show about nothing.

Only the free market can satisfactorily sort out all of societies problems as it is the only one true democracy, government hijacks problems to further its own ends, it has no incentive to solve a problem as solving a problem would make government redundant.

Government must create problems or perpetuate them, not fix them, it must do this in order to justify its own existence, the sooner people wake up to the fact that Government is essentially just a useless layer of bureaucracy that has attached itself like a tick to society the better off we'll all be, they are absolutely no different to the mafia and use the same threatening business model on the unsuspecting public.

In this day we have been indoctrinated such that:
Tax cuts are expenses.
Spending is investment
The government owns all the money and we are permitted to keep what we are allowed.
The solution to the ravages of big government apparently is bigger government.

A vote for Bill Shorten is the only sensible way. With nothing but nincompoops leading the parties, especially the ALP, Greens and the Coalition, the only realistic way to minimise damage is to cycle through them as quickly as possible.

There is only so much that can be inflicted in three years. Keep tossing them until something decent turns up.

pretty much a silly idea.. they would then spend the first two years unpicking what the previous team did..

shorten will undo everything turnbull does if he gets in............super is a great one...

the labor party started so many new depts all fitted out all staffed to the gills.. and no work... ...his ETS was a goody..... Wong was minster of everything in those dizzy days....and we are still dealing with all the staff they employed to do nothing... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

because nothing got off the ground...and any that did crashed badly..green loans anyone..

just what we need another massive train wreck of a govt.

Of one thing, we can be assured, IF WE let the current "system" continue, we are very likely to go down the old "Cold War path of Mutually Assured Destruction"!

VOTE OUT AS MANY INCUMBENTS AS POSSIBLE & Send a clear message that the old systems time, has now finished!!!

Well, Thank you JS, But No Thanks!

After over 40 years, primarily working in the Financial Sector, "I am now into Retirement Mode" and unlike some others, I would prefer to spend the this time enjoying life, as best I can & trying to help family & friends and going into "the Political argy-bargy is not high on the to do list", particularly given the issues it faces over the next decade or two!!!

But, Cheers, anyway!
