My father took this photo in 1959, and I'm trying to figure out where it was taken.  It looks as if it was somewhere near a beach, which makes either Manly or somewhere between Stanwell Park and Thirroul as the most likely.  If it turns out not to be near the coast, then the old Sydney Showground or Bobbin Head are other possibilities.  Does anyone recognise it?
