Thank god for Hiroshima and Nagasaki ...
May 29th, 2016 at 9:38pm

"Had the enemy set foot on the Japanese mainland, the Japanese High Command had orders to liquidate every single prisoner-of-war. Hiroshima and Nagasaki saved them.

Fergus Anckorn took a slow boat home. He was 27 and, like his fellows, was condemned to spend years rebuilding his life in a Britain which had little time for heroes, and which wanted to forget forever the disaster that had been Singapore.

He said: ‘I am probably the luckiest man alive. Every day is a wonder to me.

‘I’ve been blown up. I’ve been shot. I’ve survived a massacre. And I also got away with that egg trick.’

The fact this terrible weapon actually saved both Japanese and allied lives is a testament to how terrible a war that was

Nuke them.

I think the atomic bombs were dropped to stop Russia from  invading Western Europe -

it made Stalin think twice.

It had nothing to do with Japan which was already defeated.

Bobby, WW1 was ended by an armistice, which was a political act. The American military was against this; they believed that Germany needed to be defeated in Germany. In later years, some Germans insisted that Germany had not lost the war but had achieved an honourable peace and, in fact, had shortened the war.
We know what happened after that...
In WW2, the Americans were not going to make the same mistake. Japan had to be defeated in Japan. The estimated cost in casualties of an invasion of Japan has been variously put at up to 1.5 million.
Do the sums...

all great civilisations seek to spread their gifts in a spirit of contribution.

alexander
the romans
napoleon
the british empire.

america appears to have been the first great super power which has showed incredible restraint, having to be almost dragged into WW1  and WW2.

it has also showed remarkable weakness since 1945.

its people are fairly sensitive.

one could not picture americans pouring on the fire in the battle of stalingrad or fighting in black pyjamas in vietnam.

they seem to be a bit sooky.
i hear from american girls that their boyfirends often cry and get all emotional and clingy.
This is not the way of the superior man.

Their empire is like a plant that has grown up a wall and leans on the wall.
take the wall away and the whole structure has no roots.
if you arent rooted in deep traditional core values of grit guts and determination.....you shouldnt expect to be world leaders for long.

picture obama and putin engaged in hand to hand combat.

one is as soft as a marshmallow, the other is a pice of hardened steel.

leaders need to harness their steel like qualities.

america should not apologise for dropping those bombs.

that act saves millions of american lives.
they should have a public holiday and a big parade and wheel the enola gay thru the streets of new york as the public cheer and throw ticker tape and scream USA USA

Twerpy-derpy Obama travels to the Hiroshima memorial site on the US taxpayer dime in order to overshadow his capitalist G7 nonsense to be the first sitting US president to visit Hiroshima. Golly!

As for the "controversy" that he should offer an apology for what was unquestionably one of history’s greatest war crimes let me know when Japan's prime minister travels to anywhere USA and apologizes for the Bataan Death March and/or the Rape of Nanking
...
That's capitalism for you

America’s biggest bullshit Nobel Prize-winning president and his aides made it abundantly clear that Japan could shove an expected apology right up their collective capitalist ass.

Let me know when both sides puvbically acknowledge their criminal character acts of the Second World War and the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of civilians, most of them women and children that makes the back-to-back atom bomb attacks against Hiroshima and Nagasaki look like child play.

Meanwhile, Obammie and his corrupt capitalist administration have done little to reduce America's rotting nuclear stockpile than any other post-Cold War US president (including Bush).

'Hiroshima' and 'Nagasaki' were actions which should have won America the Nobel Peace Prize and the eternal gratitude of the Japanese public.

See? Because once again (as with all of your replies/topics) they soon manifest themselves into another racist diatribe.

My apologies. I admit I was pulling your chain to hear your bell ring - which it did.

So okay - back on track.

While YOU'VE been studying for a career in the Victimhood Industries (where absolutely no-one is guilty of being responsible for the sh!t they've gotten themselves into) - I, meanwhile, have been reading books on REAL victims of circumstances beyond their control.

What part of mass murder of thousands of Allied prisoners in Japanese hands don't you understand? And bear in mind these murders were to be committed not by nice, quick shootings, but by bayonet and being burned alive?
