Bobby, Chimp's simian posteriors make more sense than that fraud you keep quoting.

Its quite straight forward really

54.9°F is the 20th century global average for the month of March

57.0°F is the 20th century global annual average

59.0°F is the 20th century global average for the month of September.

That may be; they don't specify that.

They didn't have to, it's pretty self evident.

Now tell us about NOAA 1997 - 62.45ºF
and 2015 - 58.62ºF minus 3.53ºF and 2015 is still supposed to be the hottest year EVAH. Wink

Once again that is self evident. The answer is in the very link that you provided

Please note: the estimate for the baseline global temperature used in this study differed, and was warmer than, the baseline estimate (Jones et al., 1999) used currently. This report has been superseded by subsequent analyses. However, as with all climate monitoring reports, it is left online as it was written at the time.

Dear John,
As a claimed Justice of The Peace you should have given
David DuByne his day in the court of Ozpolitic.

When the thread was open you had a chance to put questions to him & have them answered.
This chance is now lost & such a famous person has been chased away.

Matt.7  KJV

Quote:
[1] Judge not, that ye be not judged.

[2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

[3] And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

[4] Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

[5] Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

[6] Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

[7] Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

[8] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

[9] Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

[10] Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

[11] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

[12] Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Ah, you are making an assumption. Thank you.

Yes, there is that. The Karl et al. 2015 paper shows a variation of old versus new of 0.012ºC/decade, for 1951 - 2012. and 0.047ºC for 1998-2012. So for the 1951-2012 series- 1997 would show a variation (1951-97) of ~0.6ºC (1.08F) (Increase). The 1998-2012 would not impact.

I don't know how that translates to a 3.83°F decrease. Try again.

BTW did you notice the graph uses anomalies, as does Jones et al 1999.? How do anomalies affect absolute temperatures?

Get yourself a good primer on climate. Even one of your grandkids' school books might do. Get them to explain it to you a sentence at a time.

Brave Sir David ran away
(No!)
Bravely ran away away
(I didn't!)
When danger reared its ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled
(No!)
Yes, brave Sir David turned about
(I didn't!)
And gallantly he chickened out....

It was colder overnight.

I'm feeling bored right now. I think I'll pretend to be a Climate denialist some more. I've had enough of pretending to be a devout Christian or a fervent disciple of light. It just doesn't get enough bites.

So I'll throw in another net here and see what I can catch.

I'm assuming that you missed the references to Jones et all 1999 and Karl et al 2015. Unless Fm was a euphemism for F.,* M*, Then the answer is "No Thanks".
