Have you given any thought to how much a Royal Commission costs?  And there are also the costs of the follow up action to take into account.  Why not just give ASIC additional powers and more funding?

No where near as much as people have lost dealing with the crooked banks and their 'great' financial advice and insurance scams Sad

Yeas....and the Union RC was as well, yet there you were, cheering the Lawyers on.

The Government has not abolished the finance industry regulator in contrast to what Labor did to the ABCC.

the lesser of two evils and money well spent if it comes up with criminal convictions and radical changes to the way this banking mafia operates.

They made heavy cuts to their funding, which has much the same effect.
