Surfer chick not unhappy at all

Tony Abbott photographed in the surf at Noosa

IT seems former Prime Minister Tony Abbott is making a habit out of dropping in on his competitors.

On the same day colleagues in Canberra debated Mr Abbott’s potentially destabilising role in the election campaign, the former Prime Minister was yesterday lapping up the last of the long weekend on the Sunshine Coast.

He spent at least two hours surfing at Noosa’s Tea Tree Bay with daughter Bridget, one surfer managing to capture the moment he snaked a wave from Gold Coast holiday-maker Ivy Thomas.

“In the photo I look like I was not happy about it at all but I was stoked. I had plenty of waves so I was happy to share a couple,” Ms Thomas, 17, said.

“He was loving it. It was epic and he’s actually not bad. He can surf.

“Only in Australia will that ever happen — that you get to surf with an ex-Prime Minister.”

Noosa local Finn Massoud, 16, was also wooed by the “cool” politician while snapping a selfie alongside friend Bongsu Kim.

“We ran up to him just before he was leaving and we asked him if we could have a photo and he said “yeah, sure boys” and took a selfie with us,” Mr Massoud said.

“He’s a lot cooler than I thought he was.”

Mr Abbott was spotted holidaying with his family at the Queensland beach, surfing, chatting to locals and posing for photos on the beach.

She's not a real surfer then, a real surfer then would be pissed to have someone cut in on their wave

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

My father in law used to surf every single day and had a surfboard building business back in the 70's and 80's. He can't surf now due to leg surgery. But I talked to him about this yesterday and he said in his day, if a surfer cut in on your wave, you didn't get into a fight about it because there'd be another wave. His words - it wasn't the end of the world if someone cut into your wave. Seems to me that you have serious anger issues. Remind me not to go out on the water when you're planning to head out.

Looks red to me, and I doubt very much he hauled his own board up to Noosa. It's more likely to be one he hired. Who cares what colour it is anyway? Talk about being picky! Get a life.

Rupert wants Tony's profile maintained at a very high level.

Plenty of pictures in the Smellygraph.

We need a bushfire fighting scene next.  Grin Grin Grin

A politician attacking another is deemed by some as news. A politician dropping in on a wave and the girl being happy about it is NOT news, especially not newsworthy enough to make the papers two days in a row. It's just desperation play by the smelly.

that's the general consensus. Most surfers aren't happy when someone drops in on their waves  ... but the smellegraph decided to do a front page story to tell us that she is happy.
