Not that I think he has any chance against the Clinton machine and the corrupt Dem party. But at least he might wear her down a bit and that's a good thing.

Anyone but Trump is good in my books Actually Bernie would attract a lot of disaffected Republicans that wouldnt vote Clinton if Trump is the nominee! Although I gather he is more a leftie which might cancel that idea out

Sanders himself never intended to be the candidate. That much is clear.

He is a message candidate - to create a movement to send the establishment a clear message about the need to change the corrupt way in which the Democratic party as well as US politics in general is run. He is forcing Clinton to take notice and at least pay lip service to his demands. Now the movement is created and has clear momentum, a future President Clinton, as well as future democratic candidates will be faced with a damaging backlash if they don't follow through on the reforms Bernie's movement demands.

In short, by rallying ~35-40% of the democrats behind him, his mission is well and trully accomplished.
